3 Days 2 Nights Aberdare National Park Sweetwaters Safari is a wildlife vacation that features two game Reserves that are undoubtedly are most exclusive private game viewing in Kenya.
Our 3 Day safari begins with a visit to the Aberdare National Park, famous for its high perches and balconies, overlooking a salt lick and waterhole. Here we will enjoy the finest in high-altitude game viewing.
Animals easily observed in the Aberdare National Park include; Rhino, leopard, baboon, Colobus monkey, Sykes monkey, lions, the golden cat, and the bongo antelope that lives in the bamboo forest.
Bird viewing is rewarding, with over 250 species of birds in the park, including the Jackson’s Francolin, sparry hawk, goshawks, eagles, sunbirds, and plovers. A visit to Sweetwaters Game Reserve/ Ol Pejeta Ranch allows us to see Rhinos that are given sanctuary from those who would take their lives to sell their horns.
Here too, the Jane Goodall Institute operates a remarkable Chimpanzee Sanctuary where we meet the primates face–to–face. Special activities such as escorted game walk, and horse-back rides are available here.
3 Days 2 Nights Aberdare National Park Sweetwaters Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Drive to Aberdare National Park
0830 Hours: After breakfast, we drive Northwards to the lush foothills of snow-capped Mount Kenya – Africa’s second-highest mountain.
1200 Hours: You will arrive at the Hotel in time for lunch. After lunch transfer to the Tree Lodge located in the Aberdare National Park.
1530 Hours: The afternoon will be spent relaxing in the balconies, viewing Bunker and lounges which provides superb vantage points for game viewing at the water hole.

Day 2: Aberdare National Park – Drive to Ol Pajeta/ Sweetwaters Conservancy
0900 Hours: Today we travel to Ol Pejeta Conservancy and Rhino Reserve also known as Sweetwaters Game Reserve.
The Ol Pejeta Conservancy – a 90,000-acre private wildlife conservancy – is situated on the equator, in Kenya’s Laikipia District, between the foothills of the Aberdares and the magnificent snow-capped Mount Kenya.
1200 Hours: We arrive at our camp/ lodge. Lunch follows. Later we embark on an afternoon game drive. Today you also have an opportunity to have a night game drive.
The Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals, including the Big Five (the endangered black and white rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and lion), Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest, cheetah, and chimpanzee.

Day 3: Ol Pajeta/ Sweetwaters – Drive to Nairobi
0800 Hours: We enjoy breakfast and have time for optional activities such as Lion tracking, Bushwalk, Bird walk, and the Endangered species boma.
Other places of interest include: visit the Chimpanzees sanctuary, the Morani Center, Baraka, Rhino Cemetery, Equator Sign, Hippo Hide, Scott’s Hide, and Morani’s restaurant.
1400 Hours: Later we depart for Nairobi to arrive at 1800 Hours.
