Ali Barbour's Cave Restaurant is the most popular restaurant in Diani beach and by many travelers considered to be one of the best restaurants in Africa! The visit of this exclusive restaurant in Diani beach is a highlight and you will never forget your visit to the Cave, as you walk down the stairs into a fairyland lit by candles and lanterns! Ali Barbour's Cave Restaurant is set 10 meters below the ground in a large ancient coral cave with interlinking chambers dating back to 120000 - 140000 years! The roof of the restaurant is opened and the guests will enjoy dinning beneath the African stars.

 

The entire restaurant is designed in fabulous Swahili style and for special atmosphere beautifully illuminated with small lights and lanterns set in natural holes of the cave. The seating is made of comfortable Lamu style furniture and dinning settings feature snowy white linen, silver and gorgeous glass ware.

 

The guests of the Ali Barbour's Cave Restaurant will enjoy an a la Carte Menu with mouth-watering international and seafood cuisine and an extensive Wine list offering the best collection of wines from South Africa.

 

Because the restaurant is only open from 7pm onwards, and the limited space available, booking ahead is essential. Free transport is offered to guests who are staying along the Diani Beach Road.

 

Ali Barbour's Cave Restaurant is run by the same people who own the Forty Thieves beach bar and restaurant next door, which offers live music and entertainment and also the beautiful Flamboyant Hotel which offers a quiet beach setting, also in Diani.
