Amboseli Porini Camp Safari 2 Days (or More) Road Safari from Nairobi offers you an opportunity to explore Amboseli National Park and Selenkay Conservancy while sleeping under canvas but in luxurious conditions!

Amboseli Porini Camp is located in the Selenkay Conservation Area, a 15,000-acre private game reserve within a vast tract of land owned by the Kisonko clan of the Masai people. The Conservancy is an important dispersal area for wildlife moving in and out of Amboseli and holds a wide diversity of species.

In addition to the better-known big game like elephant, lion, cheetah, giraffe and zebra, there are several less common species such as caracal, African wildcat, civet, gerenuk, lesser kudu and striped hyena.

3 Days/ 2 Nights Amboseli Porini Camp Road Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park (Selenkay Conservancy)

Depart Nairobi and drive south to Selenkay Conservation Area (a 4 hour journey of 102 miles), arriving at Porini Camp before lunch.

Following afternoon tea, you will be escorted on a walk by Masai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Return to camp for a shower, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Explore Amboseli National Park (Selenkay Conservancy)

Awake to the noisy calls of the birds. After an early breakfast, we drive through the bush on our private track into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing. Following a picnic lunch in the park, we return to Porini Camp later in the afternoon.

In the evening you will go on a game drive in Selenkay Conservancy, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, caracals, bat-eared foxes, African wild cats, and other species. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Amboseli to Nairobi

Early morning game drive in the Conservancy followed by breakfast. Then depart on the transfer back to Nairobi, arriving around 1 pm.

* Sole use of the open sided 4x4 safari vehicle during game drive 375 US Dollars per vehicle per day

* Sharing with 1 adult, child pays child package price above while the 1 adult pays single adult rate

* 1 Child sharing with 2 adults, child pays child package price above while the 2 adults pay per adult sharing rate.

* 2 or 3 Children sharing in own tent, each child pays 75% of per adult rate. Child under 8 years not recommended

* For every 2 nights stay one visit into Amboseli National Park is included. Any extra visit into the park must pay 80 US Dollars per person per day on top of above rates

Direct special charter flight to Selenkay: From 20th December 2012 to 31st March 2013 & from 01st July 2013 to 31st October 2013 we will offer daily charter flights with minimum 2 Guests between Nairobi, Wilson Airport and Amboseli, Selenkay Airstrip which is very close to Porini Amboseli Camp & Selenkay Adventure Camp.

The supplement will be the same as if using schedule flight as provided above. The charter flight is only 35 minutes departing Nairobi, Wilson Airport at 08h00 and arriving Amboseli, Selenkay Airstrip at 08h35. (Vehicle transfer from Selenkay airstrip to Porini Amboseli Camp or Selenkay Adventure Camp is free of charge).

* Internal Flights are subject to fuel surcharge increases without notice

* Each tent has a Double & Single bed, 3rd Adult in tent charged at normal rate

* 4th child in tent is strongly discouraged due to limited space in tent and shower/ toilet facilities
* In the event of heavy rainfall causing flooding of roads preventing access to the Porini Camps or to the parks, African Spice Safaris may be obliged to amend the safari arrangements to offer a suitable alternative safari
