Galdessa Safari Camp 3 Days/ 2 Nights Galdessa Camp by road explores Tsavo East National Park. Your accommodations will be at the Galdessa Safari Camp - which lies on the banks of the Galana River overlooking the Yatta Plateau, 15 km upstream of Lugards Falls.

Galdessa Safari Camp Tsavo East is spread along the river under Doum Palms overlooking the Galana River and the Yatta Plateau. Accommodation is in 11 comfortable and spacious ban das (thatched, semi-tented bungalows on wooden platforms) each of which has en-suite bathrooms, verandas and are situated a good distance apart to provide privacy.

Two of the bandas have separate sitting rooms (Banda 4 & 7), and a large veranda on stilts (Bandar 7). Banda 7 is often recommended for Honeymooners. The bathrooms are large and have traditional bucket showers, flush toilets and basins with running water.

Game drives in open vehicles. Walking safaris along the Galana River and sand rivers. Sundowners, bush breakfast. Rhino Camp (conservation project), 15 minutes from Galdessa.

Galdessa Safari Camp Tsavo East direct area is a home to over 51 black rhino. Tsavo East National Park is a Wilderness area and the game can be shy but it offers great bio-diversity. Uncommon species seen there include lesser kudu, gerenuk, fringed eared lorry, hierolatry and Peter's gazelle.

The area is renowned for elephants particularly during the dry season; the last count (1999) recorded 8100. Tsavo is particularly rich in bird life.

Depart after breakfast at your hotel to Tsavo East National Park to Galdessa Safari Camp.

Day 2: Game Drives in Tsavo East National Park

Morning or afternoon Game Drives in open vehicles. The options available are a game drive in the afternoon, or a game drive in the morning and a walk in the afternoon, followed by sundowners and a night game drive then back to the camp

Day 3: Tsavo East - Nairobi

Morning walk followed by a bush breakfast then return back to Nairobi or Mombasa by road
