– Fly to Amboseli National Park
Your safari adventure begins with a scenic flight
to Amboseli National Park, famous for its big game
and superb views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro.
This afternoon is spent viewing game in this spectacular
area.
Covered
by savanna and acacia trees, the open flat plains
are ideal places to search for the wildebeests, buffaloes,
cheetahs, lions, hyenas, zebras, hippos etc.
It
has two permanent water springs which are underground
seepage from the snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro which
the Park has as its magnificent backdrop. Big elephant
families will be spotted wallowing in the swamp which
is also full of bird life. It’s also home to
the Maasai people.

Day 5:
Amboseli
National Park – Drive to Arusha, Tanzania –
Fly to Lake Manyara and drive to Ngorongoro Crater
Drive to Arusha for lunch, then fly to Lake Manyara
and we journey to Ngorongoro Crater to our lodge.
Perched on the rim of the crater, it offers an awesome
panorama of the enormous caldera below.
This
magnificent natural amphitheatre contains the largest
concentration of animals in all of Africa. Prides
of lion, black rhino and elephant share this land
with the legendary Masai tribesmen who tend their
cattle here.
As for the views, from lilac-streaked sunrise, to
indigo star studded night, the immeasurably ancient
Ngorongoro Crater delivers a theatre of vistas, mostly
unchanged since the dawn of time.
Overnight
at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge or Ngorongoro Serena Lodge
Meal
Plan {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}
This morning we descend 2,000 feet into the giant
caldera of this extinct volcano. This magnificent
natural amphitheatre contains the largest concentration
of animals in all of Africa. Prides of lion, black
rhino and elephant share this land with the legendary
Masai tribesmen.
Because
the grasses are short, game is easily spotted and
can be approached quite closely. We spend a splendid
morning on the floor of the crater observing wildlife
in this ageless World Heritage Site.
Overnight
at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge or Ngorongoro Serena Lodge
Meal
Plan {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}
Days 7 &
8: Ngorongoro
Crater – Drive to Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti National Park is our destination today.
En route we stop at Olduvai Gorge, the “cradle
of mankind,” where the Leakey family uncovered
the fossil of Homo habilis, who lived 1.75 million years
ago.
Arriving
at our lodge in time for lunch, we find ourselves
deep in the heart of this famous migration corridor.
With its wide-open spaces, bright blue skies and creature-filled
landscape, over the next two days we will discover
why the fabled Serengeti typifies the dream of “Old
Africa.”
Large
prides of lions laze in the long grasses; plentiful
families of elephants feed on acacia bark and trumpet
to each other across the plains, while giraffes, gazelles,
monkeys, eland and the whole range of African wildlife
present themselves in awe-inspiring numbers.
Overnight at Sanctuary Kusini or Serengeti Serena
Lodge
Meal
Plan {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}
Day 9:
Serengeti
– Fly to Arusha – Fly to Nairobi –
Fly to Masai Mara Game Reserve
We wing our way across the great plains to the Maasai
Mara via Arusha and Nairobi. A game reserve shared
with the Maasai people, the Mara most certainly offers
the finest game viewing in Kenya as well as the ideal
location for
an exhilarating Hot-Air Balloon Safari.
During
our time in the Mara, we also visit a Masai village
in the company of an insightful tribal Elder. And, romance
awaits in the form of an extraordinary sunset cocktail
party in the bush overlooking the Great Rift Valley.
Overnight at Sanctuary Olonana or Mara Serena Safari
Lodge

Plan {Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner}
Days 10
& 11: Masai
Mara Game Reserve

the most spectacular array of wildlife. The Siria
Escarpment, together with the acacia dotted plains,
creates scenery of stunning beauty. Game viewing is
never dull here, and patience is often rewarded with
unique wildlife sightings.
You

guests to plant an indigenous tree as a way to personally
