Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp 3 Days/ 2 Nights (or more) Flying Safari takes you to the Serengeti National Park for Spectacular game drives around the stunning Serengeti ecosystem .Serengeti National Park covers 14,765 sq km, one of the striking features is the series of large granite outcrops that dominate the vast plains, making it very different to the Masai Mara.

The wildebeest migration happens here as the animals constantly seek out new grazing pastures. Every year, after the south’s short November rains, wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, eland, topi and hartebeest gather in their thousands on the Serengeti’s southern plains and the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Then, around April, they head towards the western corridor of the Serengeti, where many overflow into the Masai Mara around July/ August. They remain here until late October/November, when Tanzania’s new rains prompt the move south again, towards Lake Ndutu and Lagaja.

This yearly phenomenon also affects the lives of hundreds of thousands of other species, who rely on the migratory herds for their survival. These include predators, gazelles, birds and insects, not to mention the grasses and trees that are fertilized by droppings.

Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp Flying Safari From Arusha

Day 1: Arusha Fly to Serengeti Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp

Guests are picked from their Arusha, Tanzania residence and transferred to Arusha Airport for a scheduled flight to Serengeti departing 0800 hours to arrive at 1005 hours (booked by African Spice Safaris).

Upon arrival, you will be met by and transferred to the Mbuzi Mawe Camp with a game drive en-route. Following lunch, there will be an afternoon game drive returning to camp as the sun sets. Please note that there is also an optional departure from Arusha in the afternoon to arrive in the Serengeti for a game drive en-route to the camp. Overnight at Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp on a full board basis.

Day 2: Explore Serengeti National Park

Rising at dawn, you enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, followed by a game drive before breakfast as most of the animals are active before the sun comes up.

Rest of the morning at leisure. After lunch another game drive is planned in the afternoon before returning to the camp/ lodge as the sun sets. Overnight at Mbuzi Mawe Camp on a full board basis.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park Fly to Arusha

After breakfast, enjoy another game drive en-route to Seronera airstrip for a scheduled flight to Arusha departing at 1100 hours and arriving at 1215 hours (booked by African Spice Safaris).

You will then be transferred to Arusha town for your onward arrangements. Please note that there is also an optional departure from Serengeti in the afternoon with a flight at 1720 hours to arrive at Arusha at 1830 hours. You get to have lunch at Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp.
