Leopard Rock Lodge is situated amidst one of the last remaining Parks in Kenya devoted to wilderness, the Meru National Park. Offbeat Meru Camp is a luxury semi-permanent camp located just outside Meru National Park about 80 km east of Meru or 350 km from Kenya's capital city, Nairobi. Offbeat Meru Camp is a twelve bed luxury camp Meru National Park in Bisanadi National Reserve. The camp is small, traditional and located on the edge of Meru National Park in the Bisanadi National Reserve.


Offbeat Meru Camp is hosted by owner Piers Winkworth. The camp consists of only 6 tents - 3 twins and 3 doubles. Each tent is furnished with a large iron bed, its own en-suite bathroom, traditional bucket shower and flushing toilet. In addition, there is 24 hour solar lighting in the tents, while the rest of the camp is lit by traditional 'tilly' lamps. Informal dining is hosted in the mess tent or around the campfire. There is also a spacious 'mess' tent with comfortable sofas, a writing table and bar.

 

Days are tailored to suit guest's requirements. Activities include day and evening game drives; bush breakfasts, picnics and sundowners; fly fishing in the local rivers. This area of Kenya gets quite hot during the dry season. After an active morning in the bush there's no better feeling than coming back to camp and cooling off in the stunning infinity swimming pool watching the wildlife as it comes to drink from the Bisanadi River below you.

Rhino River Camp Meru; Rhino River Camp is located approximately 120 miles north-east of Nairobi in beautiful open country on the banks of the Kindani River on the western border of the Meru National Park. Rhino River Camp is situated within 80 acres of privately owned wilderness on the edge of the Meru National Park. By scheduled or chartered flight you land inside Meru National Park and a 40-minute transfer take you to the Rhino River Camp.


Rhino River Camp is a quiet exclusive retreat with a collection of just eight luxury cottages made out of canvas and local hardwood.
