Elsa’s
Kopje is almost invisible to the eye as
you approach its home on Mughwango Hill.
It blends into the rocky crags of the “kopje”
(small hill), built above the site of George
Adamson’s original campsite. Every
cottage is the ultimate ‘room-with-a-view’,
uniquely designed and crafted, incorporating
the natural features of the rocky hillside.
Each cottage has spacious double or twin
beds with en suite, elegantly appointed

Leopard Rock Lodge is situated amidst one
of the last remaining Parks in Kenya devoted
to wilderness, the Meru National Park. This
magnificent lodge offers all together the

life. Leopard Rock Lodge is built on a 3.5
Kilometer river frontage (Murera), in Meru
National Park, along the Equator and about
310 kilometers from Nairobi. The location
is North East of Mt. Kenya. Leopard Rock
Lodge is a 5 hour journey from Nairobi by
road and 1 hour by air.
Accommodation
at Leopard Rock Lodge consists of 15 spacious
luxury cottages with cool stone floors,
colorful Persian rugs, polished teak furniture
and four- post Lamu-style beds. The high
roof ensures that you feel cool during the
heat of the day. Your morning tea or coffee
is served on your private veranda from where
you can overlook the river or the surrounding
landscape.
The
ultimate special treat has to be the Jacuzzi

The Oasis swimming pool has a fully stocked
island bar located at the centre of the
pool from where you can watch crocodiles
basking at the river banks. The giant reptiles
can also be viewed through a glass partition

by highly skilled bush watchmen) and therefore
open to visitors like buffalos, elephants

Meru Camp is a luxury semi-permanent camp
located just outside Meru National Park
about 80 km east of Meru or 350 km from
Kenya's capital city, Nairobi. Offbeat Meru
Camp is a twelve bed luxury camp Meru National
Park in Bisanadi National Reserve. The camp
is small, traditional and located on the
edge of Meru National Park in the Bisanadi
National Reserve.
Offbeat Meru Camp is hosted by owner Piers
Winkworth. The camp consists of only 6 tents
- 3 twins and 3 doubles. Each tent is furnished
with a large iron bed, its own en-suite
bathroom, traditional bucket shower and
flushing toilet. In addition, there is 24
hour solar lighting in the tents, while
the rest of the camp is lit by traditional
'tilly' lamps. Informal dining is hosted
in the mess tent or around the campfire.
There is also a spacious 'mess' tent with
comfortable sofas, a writing table and bar.
Days
are tailored to suit guest's requirements.
Activities include day and evening game
drives; bush breakfasts, picnics and sundowners;
fly fishing in the local rivers. This area
of Kenya gets quite hot during the dry season.
After an active morning in the bush there's
no better feeling than coming back to camp
and cooling off in the stunning infinity
swimming pool watching the wildlife as it
comes to drink from the Bisanadi River below
you.

Camp is located approximately 120 miles
north-east of Nairobi in beautiful open
country on the banks of the Kindani River
on the western border of the Meru National
Park. Rhino River Camp is situated within
80 acres of privately owned wilderness
on the edge of the Meru National Park.
By scheduled or chartered flight you land
inside Meru National Park and a 40-minute
transfer take you to the Rhino River Camp.
Rhino River Camp is a quiet exclusive
retreat with a collection of just eight
luxury cottages made out of canvas and
local hardwood. Rhino River Camp cottages
are set amongst the trees of the pristine
forest bordering the Kindani River. Spacious
and very comfortable, and blending in
with the surrounding forest, they make

breathing environment of the forest. Each

huge raffia palms, yellow fever trees,
and tamarinds. The canvas cottages are
