Once you’ve landed in Nairobi, you’ll spend one night at the elegant Hemingways hotel before starting your Kenyan adventure. Next, you will fly to the Masai Mara – Kenya’s world-famous safari destination – for an unforgettable bush experience.

Proceed by air to the Chyulu Hills a little-known, reserve between the Amboseli and Tsavo National Parks. Then take time to relax and soak up the sun, while you spend your days lying on the beach and swimming in the Indian Ocean at Diani Beach on Kenya’s South Coast.

The Maasai Mara is one of the most renowned safari destinations in Africa and for good reason. Its plains are home to huge concentrations of game and every year, from July to October, over two million wildebeest flood the plains providing one of nature’s most extraordinary sights. Stay at the enchanting Mara Plains Camp for an authentic safari experience with a focus on guiding.

The Chyulu Hills form a spectacular, though little known, reserve between the Amboseli and Tsavo National Parks. The terrain is a mixture of rolling foothills and open short-grass plains, and although many of the “big five” can be seen, the wildlife is more interesting than abundant. Lesser kudu, oryx, and cheetah are among the more unusual species that can be seen. Tsavo is the largest national park in Kenya at around 21,000 sq km, and Tsavo East consists mainly of vast plains of scrubland, home to huge herds of elephants.

Once you’ve landed in Nairobi, you’ll spend one night at the elegant Hemingways hotel before starting your Kenyan adventure. This elegant boutique hotel is the perfect place to rest your head and unwind before starting a safari; dip into the outdoor pool, drink tea on the terrace overlooking the Ngong Hills and taste high-class international cuisine.

If you have the time, get a taste of the local wildlife by visiting orphaned elephants at the David Sheldrick Wildlife and endangered giraffes at the Giraffe Centre.

Days 2, 3 & 4: Masai Mara Game Reserve
