3-Day Kenya Fly-in Safari to Sweetwaters Serena Camp in Ol Pejeta Conservancy; Experience a luxury flying safari holiday with 2 inspiring nights of wildlife at the Sweetwaters Serena Camp from Nairobi.

The trip begins with 45 minute flight from Nairobi to Nanyuki, the gateway to the exciting region of Laikipia. Upon arrival at the Nanyuki airstrip‚ you will be met by a Sweetwaters Serena Camp driver guide then transferred by road (17 km) to Sweetwaters Serena Camp located in the heart of Ol Pejeta conservancy.

Sweetwaters Serena Camp is one of the most luxurious and exclusive camps in the region, with 39 luxuriously appointed tents. Delicious meals, great guiding, an intimate setting and high-end extras such as spa treatments and night game drives make Sweetwaters Serena a superb choice.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy is the closest place from Nairobi to see “The Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo). It is also the Largest Black Rhino Sanctuary in East Africa, boasting a population of 78 black rhinos!

Its other wildlife includes an exciting catalog of; white rhino, giraffe, zebra, eland, oryx, waterbuck, Grant’s gazelle, Thompson’s gazelle, cheetah, silver-backed jackal, hartebeest, and baboon. The conservancy also boasts several hundred bird species.

Sweetwaters Serena camps waterhole attracts the wilds of the conservancy into the heart of the camp, with the tents spread around it in a rough semi-circle. The waterhole attracts plenty of wildlife, including impala, waterbuck, plains zebra, and some of the wildlife for which Ol Pejeta is famous – rare Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, and occasionally white rhino.

At Sweetwaters Serena Camp you will have twice daily game drives in open-sided 4WD safari vehicles, bush walks with resident naturalists, night game drives, bird-watching, horse rides, beauty treatments, and a wide range of al fresco dining experiences.

Enjoy the swimming pool when you are not on game drives or visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a welfare facility (rather than a breeding and conservation project) for previously captive and orphaned chimpanzees from other parts of Africa. Also visit the Endangered Species Boma” – a large, secure paddock for the conservancy’s two female northern white rhinos.
