Our 5-day Masai Mara Fly-in Safari starts with a transfer from your hotel/ residence in Nairobi to the Nairobi Wilson airport. From here you will fly by light aircraft to the Masai Mara. The types of aircraft vary from smaller Cessnas to Caravans.
The flying time from Nairobi to Masai Mara takes approximately 1 hour. Our Nairobi flight lands at an airstrip typically located conveniently near the Masai Mara lodge/ camp you will be staying. The Masai Mara has a selection of traditional lodges‚ stunning safari camps and community-run camps.
Our representative will meet you at the strip and transfer you (with a 4×4 safari vehicle) to the lodge or camp where you will enjoy Masai Mara activities. These include game drives, night drives, walking safaris, balloon safaris, Masai village, bird-watch etc.
At the end of your 4-night stay, you will return by light aircraft to Wilson Airport Nairobi. Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Maasai Mara National Reserve
0730 Hours: After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to Wilson Airport in Nairobi for your light aircraft flight to the Masai Mara.
1000 Hours: Fly to the Masai Mara. From the airstrip, you’ll embark on a game drive en route to your home for the next few nights.
1300 Hours: Enjoy your lunch in camp, and then head out for an afternoon game drive to explore the Masai Mara National Reserve.
In the evening return to camp for pre-dinner drinks around the campfire, dinner and overnight.

Day 2, 3 & 4: Explore Maasai Mara National Reserve
The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most renowned game park, situated in the northern extension of the Serengeti. Game viewing in this celebrated park is wonderful throughout the year, with virtually guaranteed sightings of the Big Five.
Go one twice daily game drives on a 4×4 as the guide interprets each sighting of the abundant resident game. Game drives may last from a couple of hours to the whole day, with a picnic breakfast or lunch.
Choose to experience the beauty of the Masai Mara on a hot air balloon flight. Take off at dawn and float in whichever direction the morning winds take you.
For the more adventurous do a safari walk with one of the camp’s naturalists and experience the Masai Mara on foot. Take the opportunity to visit a traditional Masai village (called a Manyatta), get gain insights into this interesting culture
