6 Days 5 Nights Kenya Fly-in Safari Masai Mara Game Reserve

Our 6 Days 5 Nights Kenya Fly-in Safari to the Masai Mara Game Reserve offers a luxury air safari to the Masai Mara – the most famous and popular safari destination in Kenya, if not anywhere in Africa.

The highlight of the Masai Mara is, without a doubt, the Great Migration, an annual movement of millions of wildebeest, gazelle and zebra migrating between neighbouring Tanzania and the Kenyan park.

Apart from the Great Migration, the Masai Mara has excellent wildlife viewing throughout the year, and sightings of four of the Big Five – leopard, lion, elephant and buffalo – are pretty much a given, making it a perfect first-timer’s safari destination.

While the Masai Mara is more renowned for its wildlife than its birds, its varied habitats are still home to more than 500 species of birds, from kori bustards, ostriches and ground hornbills.

Our 6-day fly-in safari will give you the ultimate Masai Mara experience with time both inside and outside the reserve. This safari concentrates on Mara North Conservancy – a beautiful private wilderness area located in the north-western zone bordering the Maasai Mara and the Maasai Mara National Reserve in the south.

This journey will give you a better understanding of the different areas within the greater Mara ecosystem. Your safari begins from Nairobi where you fly to the Masai Mara and spend 3 days in Mara North Conservancy, which is less crowded for an authentic experience.

You will explore Mara North Conservancy – a private wilderness area of more than 25,000 hectares owned by over 800 Maasai landowners who have partnered with 13 Tourism Partner  (10 camps & lodges) to create a best practice, world-class conservancy with long-term commitments to the environment, wildlife, and local communities.

You will stay at any of the partner members’ camps which include Alex Walker’s Serian Camp, Elephant Pepper Camp, Neptune Mara Rianta Luxury Camp, Karen Blixen Camp, Kicheche Mara Camp, Mara Bush Houses, Mara Plains Camp, Offbeat Mara Camp, Richard’s River Camp, Royal Mara Safari Lodge Safaris and Saruni Mara Lodge.

After 3 nights in Mara North Conservancy, we transfer to the Masai Mara Game Reserve (inside the park itself) for 2 nights before flying back to Nairobi.

While game drives are the focus of a Masai Mara safari, there are other plenty of other activities to include in your itinerary, from sunrise hot air balloon rides over the plains, cultural visits to local Maasai villages, picnics and sundowners in the bush and horseback rides.

Children’s activities include storytelling, bow and arrow shooting and fire making.
