Flight transfers between camps are quick and easy, typically taking only 30 to 90 minutes from tent to tent. Thus, visitors minimize their traveling time, and maxi mise their time on safari.
Using short flights, you can hop between different environments in minutes, swiftly covering large distances across difficult terrain – and come to appreciate Tanzania’s remarkable geography in the process. Light aircraft’s used for these air transfers ranging from the popular Cessna 206 Station air (5-seater) through to the Cessna Grand Caravan (13-Seater).
Our 6-day Tanzania fly-in safaris explore some of the best-known Tanzania destinations such as the Northern Safari Circuit – comprising Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, Tarangire and Kilimanjaro. Tanzania Coast and Islands – the country’s beaches, especially those on islands like Zanzibar, Saadani, Pangani, Pemba, Mafia Island and Kilwa.

Essentially our fly -in safaris begin from Arusha airport, Kilimanjaro, Dar-es-salaam or Zanzibar airports and the flights are short ranging from one to two hours to these destinations.
When you fly in to these destinations you are met at the airstrip by a vehicle from the camp/ lodge where you are staying and you go on game drives in the camp’s 4×4 safari vehicle with a qualified and experienced driver-guide who knows the area far better than any visiting drivers and is familiar with the latest wildlife movements.

6 Days 5 Nights Tanzania Fly-in Beach Holiday Fanjove Private Island - Fanjove Private Island Lodge
Discover the joys of a luxury Africa beach vacation on our 6-day Tanzania Fly-in Beach Holiday at Fanjove Private Island located in the Songo songo Archipelago, just off the coast of Tanzania. Stay for 5 nights at Fanjove Private Island lodge, the only property on the private tropical island with six rustic en-suite thatched beach front bandas/ cottages dotted along the white sand beach looking out to the turquoise ocean. Fanjove Private Island is accessed by air from Dar es Salaam to the neighboring island, Songosongo (1 hour) – which is the main island of the archipelago. You then have a 40-minute transfer in a traditional dhow sailing boat. During the day it will be possible to amuse oneself with various water activities, including diving in the crystalline water to discover a yet unexplored paradise.
