This luxury fly-in safari begins with a flight from Nairobi to Chyulu Hills National Park located between the Amboseli and Tsavo West National Parks. Chyulu Hills flights take about 50 minutes from Wilson airport in Nairobi.
Large herds of elands, giraffes, zebras and wildebeests, lions, buffaloes and elephants, cheetahs, antelopes, black rhinos, steenbok, bushbucks, and bush pig freely roam the region. Their also reptiles like puff adders, black mambas, monitor lizards and rock Pythons to mention a few.
Chyulu Hills only has two luxury accommodations. These are Campi Ya Kanzi and Ol Donyo Lodge (on the private 275,000-acre Mbirikani Group Ranch). Activities at Chyulu include hiking, game drives, bird watching, horse riding, guided nature walks and cultural village visits.
We fly to our next destination for 3 nights in the Maasai Mara – one of Africa’s most famous wildlife parks. The highlight of the Masai Mara is, without a doubt, the Great Migration, an annual movement of millions of wildebeest, gazelle and zebra migrating between neighbouring Tanzania and the Kenyan park.
Apart from the Great Migration, the Masai Mara has excellent wildlife viewing throughout the year, and sightings of four of the Big Five – leopard, lion, elephant and buffalo – are pretty much a given, making it a perfect first-timer’s safari destination.
The Mara is famous for its leopard, lion, and cheetah, but there’s plenty more game to see on the wide-open plains, from giraffe and eland to smaller predators such as bat-eared foxes, spotted hyenas and black-backed jackals.

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Chyulu Hills
In the morning, you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for your flight to Tsavo West. The flight is approximately 50 minutes.
On arrival at Ol Donyo Lodge airstrip, you’ll be transferred to your lodge with an en-route game drive. After lunch, you will proceed for a late afternoon game drive.

Day 2 & 3: Discover Chyulu Hills National Park
Enjoy two full days exploring the Chyulu Hills area and viewing wildlife in game drives or game walks. Wildlife likely to see you include; leopard cheetah, buffalo, rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, oryx, eland and other plains game, crocodile and small mammals like mongoose, hyrax, dik dik and the nocturnal porcupine.
There are over 600 species of bird life in this area. Activities included: mountain biking, day and night game drives in open 4×4 with professional guides, escorted game walks, and forest walks.
Other activities include bird watching, Masai Village visits, Masai Wilderness Conservation Trust Projects, Bush breakfast & Bush Dinners, horse riding (for all guests, novice to professional), hiking, wildlife viewing in an open-air hide and sleepouts on private “star beds.

Day 4: Chyulu Hills – Nairobi – Fly to Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast‚ you will be transferred to the airstrip as you enjoy a short game drive en route ‚ for your flight back to Nairobi. You will arrive in good time for your connecting flight to the Masai Mara.
Upon arrival at Mara‚ you will be met and transferred to your lodge as you enjoy a short game drive just before check-in. After lunch, you will depart for a late afternoon game drive or enjoy other activities offered at the camp.

Day 5 & 6: Explore Masai Mara National Reserve
The two days we spend on morning and afternoon game drives. The most famous wildlife area in Kenya‚ the Maasai Mara National Reserve‚ is known not only for the annual great migration‚ but for year-round exceptional and abundant wildlife.
Over 100 mammal species are found here‚ including the Big Five‚ and over 450 bird species. Game viewing here is second to none. Residents among the Parks mammals are; Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Impala, Zebra, Topi, and both the Thomson’s and Grant’s Gazelles. The best Hot Air Balloon rides are available on this day at an additional cost.
