Our 8 Days 7 Nights Tanzania Beach Holiday is a fly in beach holiday to Fundu Lagoon – a small privately owned boutique hotel located on Pemba Island, in the Zanzibar archipelago, lying across the Pemba Channel to the north.

The hotel is situated on a remote and beautiful beach on the south western side of Pemba Island (around 130 kilometres offshore from the main Zanzibar Island) and is only accessible by plane or boat from Zanzibar island. Fundu Lagoon luxury beach resort offers a classic Indian Ocean holiday experience and is a perfect post-Tanzania safari destination.

Fundu Lagoon is located on the west coast of Pemba Island, which is north of Zanzibar by only a 35-minute flight.  The lodge is a 45-minute drive from Pemba Airport and the final (20-25 minutes) is by speed boat.  Slightly out of the way for most Tanzania holidays, but once you get there it is a stunning property.

Fundu Lagoon is a great lodge for diving and snorkeling. It has some excellent sites and is known for the quality of its coral life. It is also perfect for honeymooners. The activities here are extensive including, wind surfing, sailing boats, diving, snorkeling and kayaking.

Your 7-night Pemba Island beach holiday at Fundu Lagoon begins with a flight from Zanzibar or Dar es Salaam with a scheduled flight. Following your flight, you will arrive at Pemba’s airport in Chake Chake, which is located at the centre of the Island.

Fundu Lagoon staff will be waiting to greet you and transfer you by vehicle to Mkoani harbor, which will take approximately 45 minutes. Then it’s a private boat (20-25 minutes) which cruises from Mkoani Port around the peninsular to Fundu Lagoon.

Snorkel and dive the reefs, indulge in spa treatments or a range of water sports – relaxed Fundu is the ideal vacation combination for action-packed Selous, blending peace and quiet with exceptional natural beauty.

Accommodation is in 18 tented safari-style bungalows and suites, all large and discreetly private with fantastic ocean views.

Activities at Fundu Lagoon include spice planation tours, visit Ngezi forest and Kidike with its flying foxes, walks through local farmland to find the ruins of one of the first settlement on Pemba Island, dunset dhow cruise & canoe safaris, snorkeling, dolphin safaris, candle beach dinners, kayaking, diving, fishing, scuba diving and massage.
