Cradle Tented Camp Lodwar

Cradle Tented Camp is a tented lodge located on 16 acres of beautifully manicured garden in Lodwar Town in Turkana County. The camp is located about a 10-minute drive from Lodwar airport, 15 minutes away from the famous Kapenguria 6 detention camp, and 678 km from Nairobi. It takes about 1.5 hours flight from Nairobi to the camp. The camp has a helicopter landing pad, where guests can land at their convenience. Turkana County is located in the northern part of the country. It borders Uganda, Ethiopia, and South Sudan. There are many attractions to visit among them, Lake Turkana, its islands, and national parks.

Cradle Tented Camp has 30 luxury rooms of which 16 are luxury tents while 14 are in block chic. The 15 tented suites comprise the presidential suite, executive suite, and superior suite. Each suite is fitted with satellite TV, air conditioning, a seating area, a minibar, and an en-suite bathroom and has state-of-the-art facilities.  The presidential suite has a lounge area, kitchenette, and Jacuzzi.

Cradle Tented Camp Lodwar has an onsite restaurant that serves mouthwatering diverse local and international cuisines. Guests can enjoy their meals in the restaurant in the restaurant or in outdoors.

There is a well-stocked bar that serves a wide range of alcoholic and soft drinks. There are 3 conference facilities which can take up to 600 guests sitting in theatre style while other sitting arrangements can be done as per your specifications. The conference rooms are well equipped with overhead projectors and screens and other conference stationery.

The camp has a well-manicured lawn that offers an ideal venue for weddings and other outdoor venues. There is also an expansive swimming pool with a sectioned baby pool where guests can relax and take a deep in the hot Turkana afternoon.

Cradle Tented Camp Activities Include; cultural visits: visit the Turkana Boy monument (Nariokotome Boy), hiking and rock climbing, visit Central Island National Park, water games, visit the hot waterfalls of Kapedo, visit Eliye Beach, visit Kalokol standing stones, visit Turkana basin Institute, fishing & bird watching experience in Fergusson Bay and Central Island National Park.
