Kasa Beach House Vipingo is a self-catering holiday home for rent located in the relatively small coastal village of Vipingo which lies about 30 km north of Mombasa. Vipingo Ridge is a five-star private residential golfing destination on the beautiful Mombasa North Coast.
The exclusive 2,500-acre residential estate is centered around an outstanding Clubhouse with an 18-hole championship golf course. The estate also boasts of a Beach Club, private airstrip, numerous lakes, woodland areas, and nature trails. Vipingo Ridge is located 36 km north of Mombasa on the Mombasa-Malindi Highway.
Vipingo Ridge has a private airstrip, and a private helipad located near the clubhouse. The airstrip and helipad provide hassle-free air travel for homeowners as well as greater flexibility and accessibility for visitors. Airport transfers are available upon request from both Mombasa International Airport and Malindi Airport.
Malindi and Mombasa – both about 90 minutes away by car. Standard Gauge Railway makes it faster and cheaper to travel from Nairobi to the coast. The morning train makes a stop in Mariakani allowing you to use the scenic new road to Takaungu, a one-hour car ride from Vipingo Ridge which avoids the Mombasa traffic.
Kasa Beach House is so-called as Kasa means Turtle in Swahili and Green Turtles lay their nests on the sandy beach below. Nesting season is February – July so guests in the house during this time will be put on the “Turtle Watch Register” and guests will be called day or night if there is a Turtle sighting or a nest hatching.
There are 2 houses each comprising of 3 en-suite double bedrooms. Each house sleeps 6 adults + 2 extra single beds for children. Both Houses have their own sitting rooms and kitchens so the interconnecting door can either be closed or left open depending on the mood.
Kasa Beach Houses are large holiday houses situated in a one-acre garden with lovely lawns and shrubs that make up the tropical sea-front garden. The property has a fabulous swimming pool which has a shallow ‘baby’ pool at one end. One can enjoy great views of the ocean from the pool.
Both Houses have their own sitting rooms and kitchens so the interconnecting door can either be closed or left open depending on the mood. There is also a flat-screen television in each house which is connected to DSTV. Both houses have an alarm system that may be activated if needed.
The houses have large verandas with huge hand-carved sofas with cushions that dominate the front of the villas where a stretch swimming pool sits on the edge of a small cliff merging into the sea and the horizon.
Kasa Beach House sleeps 8 guests in 3 double bedrooms (all en-suite) and 2 single beds. There is air conditioning and an overhead fan in all rooms and a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and microwave. All linen, towels, and mosquito nets are provided.
Other amenities include a downstairs bathroom facility, a swimming pool with a shallow baby pool, sunbeds, and pool furniture. There is DSTV with large flat-screen TVs, a breakfast bar, a washing machine, an alarm system, a nightguard, and staff (cook, gardener, and pool attendant).
Activities in Vipingo Ridge make the most of the area’s beautiful clear waters, wild nature trails, and more. Biking, golf, and horse riding are all to be enjoyed as part of the outdoor experience, along with numerous watersports, including kitesurfing and snorkeling in the Kuruwitu marine park.
Hikes, dhow-trips, and deep-sea fishing are available year-round, giving you the chance to discover the spoils of Kenya’s incredible coastline.
