Peponi Hotel Shela Beach Lamu Island is a small Hotel situated at one end of the spectacular 12 kilometers Shela Beach, on the exotic island of Lamu.
Shela Village is about 2 miles from Lamu Town. There are 29 guestrooms comprising of standard rooms, superior rooms and suites.
Each guestroom has overhead fan, mosquito net, freshly cut flowers and personal safe. The bathrooms are en-suite with showers.
The onsite restaurant menu features a unique blend of traditional Swahili, sushi and fresh seafood.
Guests enjoy their meals on the rooftop terrace, on the dining room and under the darkened African skies. The bar is well stocked and serves a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks.
Guest may enjoy the famous house cocktail “Old Pal” or enjoy a fresh juice on the veranda as the dhows sail by.
Peponi Hotel Shela Beach Lamu Island gardens have the most varied collections of tropical palms and exotic plants on the Kenyan coast.
There are hammocks under the shade of coconut trees and a fresh water outdoor swimming pool under two giant Baobab tree. Guests may enjoy yoga lessons as they relax.
Activities in Peponi Hotel Lamu include deep sea fishing, snorkeling, windsurfing, wake boarding , body boarding, donuting, water skis and kite surfing.
There are also sailing mirror, sailing lasers and sail in traditional Lamu or Mozambique style dhow.
