Soroi Samburu Lodge Samburu National Reserve is a luxury safari camp beautifully situated in 10 acres of pristine riverine forest on the western banks of the Uaso Nyiro River in the arid heart of Samburu National Reserve, Kenya. The reserve is located in Northern Kenya and measures 165 square kilometers in area and borders the Ewaso Ng’iro River to the south, which separates it from the Buffalo Springs National Reserve. Soroi Samburu Lodge formerly known as Samburu Game Lodge Reserve is on the northern bank of Ewaso Ng’iro River, and the adjoining Buffalo Springs Reserve is on the southern bank. A bridge across the Ewaso Ng’iro connects the two reserves, as well as the Shaba National Reserve. The lodge is 320 km from Nairobi and driving time takes about 6 hours. Flying time from Nairobi to Wilson Airport takes approximately 1 hour.

Soroi Samburu Lodge has a total of 45 Rooms, thoughtfully designed, comprising 24 Standard Rooms, 4 Superior rooms, 3 Family Rooms, and 13 Superior Rooms + 1 Family Room, river facing. The lodge’s facilities include a conference room, swimming pool, gift shop, viewing platform, and overlooking the river. The dining area opens to the river, offering a culinary experience with breathtaking views, and a pool area that provides a relaxing oasis. Soroi Samburu Lodge offers a full board package which includes 3 meals daily and accommodation. Soroi Samburu Lodge fly-in package includes accommodation, 3 meals daily, 2 shared game drives in custom-built 4×4 safari vehicles with accredited English-speaking safari guide,  local airstrip transfers to/from Kalama Airstrip and filtered water, coffee and teas.

Safari activities at Soroi Samburu Lodge include game viewing, the reserve is home to a population of close to 900 Elephants. Large predators such as the Lion, Leopard, and Cheetah are an important attraction (Kamunyak the famous Lioness that adopted a baby Oryx is a resident in the reserve). Samburu is infact one of the better locations in Kenya to spot Leopard. Wild dog sightings are also a common attraction to this unique protected area and Birdlife is abundant with over 450 recorded species.

Other safari activities include night game drives, canoeing, bird watching, star gazing, visits to local Maasai, Samburu, Turkana, and Boran homesteads, camel and horse riding in the private ranches, nature walks conducted by local Maasai/ Samburu warriors, River rafting when season permits in Ewaso Ng’iro river, nature walks to the Ngare Ndare and Makogondo forest conducted by the local guides, swimming, Exploring Mt Ololokwe, Mathews Range (Nyiro Ndoto Mountains) and camping in open skies, bush meals, sundowners etc.
