Hotel Boulevard Nairobi was designed and built-in 1972, the property has shared much history with Kenya’s historical legacy as a town and later the modern city of Nairobi grew around the location. 

Boulevard Hotel is a 4-star hotel accommodation located within four and a half acres of lush gardens bounded by the Nairobi River at the back of Nairobi, on the other side of which are the green precincts of the National Museum of Kenya.

Boulevard Hotel Nairobi boasts its own swimming pool and tennis court. Better still, this genuine haven of peace and tranquility is situated within ten minute’s easy walk to the Nairobi city center.

Boulevard Hotel first opened its doors to the public in 1971 and for close to a generation, the luxury hotel has played host to an array of local and international dignitaries, businessmen, students, missionaries, families, and honeymooners who have always come back to savor the delights from our fabulously equipped and well-staffed kitchen or are just drawn back by the allure of watching the world pass by from the private balconies of each room, with the cool breeze and the songs of a variety of birds in the background.

Hotel Boulevard completed a full makeover of the entire property in June 2022. Total revamp includes entrances, modern comfort in guestrooms, lobby, restaurant, bar, meeting space, gardens with awesome landscaping, and other amenities.

Each room features a flat-screen TV, bedside tables with ornate table lamps, a mini dining table for two, a work table, and an en-suite bathroom featuring a large mirror and complimentary toiletries. The rooms are tiled, spacious, painted in neutral colors, and designed with full-length windows overlooking the lush gardens on one side and the swimming pool on the other.

The restaurant which features a large space designed with tiled flooring and 4-seater tables serves a variety of local, Continental, and Chinese delicacies while the bar boasts a variety of wines, spirits, cocktails, and soft drinks.

International flights fly into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. Transfers from the airport to Hotel Boulevard take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic and covers 18 km.

The food is absolutely fantastic; the breakfast that is included with the room rate is excellent, full menu plus any special orders. Lunch and Night meals are excellent as well. The crystal clear water, the inviting sun beds, the superb cocktails and not to mention the excellent snacks.

All this makes the swimming pool area at Boulevard Hotel Nairobi a great place to wind down and relax. There are 70 rooms in 2 storeys. The main guest area consists of the reception, lounge area, restaurant, and bar.

Picnic lunch boxes are also available to guests. The hotel also features a standard outdoor pool which is flanked by sun loungers. This oasis of peace and tranquility offers a quiet atmosphere for conference and banqueting functions. The Mezzanine floor has conference facilities. The hotel features 3 different conference rooms.

The hotel also provides a 24-hour electricity supply, safety deposit boxes, room service, storage room, on-site parking space, and guarded premises. Laundry, airport shuttle, and car hire are offered on-site at a surcharge.

Boulevard Hotel is 10 km from Nairobi National Park, 10 km from the Nairobi Animal Orphanage, 15 km from Karen Blixen Museum, and a 5-minute walk from Nairobi National Museum.

At 5,449 feet) above sea level, Nairobi enjoys a fairly moderate climate. The altitude makes for some chilly evenings, especially in the June/July season when the temperature can drop to 10 °C (50 °F). The sunniest and warmest parts of the year are from December to March when temperatures average in the mid-twenties during the day.

The mean maximum temperature for this period is 24 °C (75 °F).
