This Big Five Kenyan wildlife safari begins and ends in Nairobi and travels by road to one of Kenya’s best private reserves – Lewa Downs Wildlife Conservancy. Lewa Downs Wildlife Conservancy is approximately 260 km from Nairobi and is located along Isiolo Road, 2 km from Meru/ Isiolo/ Isiolo Nanyuki junction. The drive takes you from Nairobi to Karatina – Kiganjo – Nanyuki – Subuiga from where the gate of Lewa is 2 kilometres down Isiolo Road.

Enjoying an exclusive game viewing experience away from the crowds at Lewa Conservancy. Embark on morning, afternoon and night-time game drives in open-sided 4×4 safari vehicles, sighting a spectacular array of free-roaming wildlife.

There are approximately 22 resident Lions in Lewa, hyenas, leopards, wild Dog, cheetahs, over 300 elephants, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, beisa oryx, gerenuk, grevy’s zebra, and the spectacular aquatic antelope.

Bird life on the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is prolific, from the impressive Ostrich to the Soaring Falcons to the humble sun birds you will see some of the most hidden gems on your safari
