Elangata Olerai Camp is an eco-friendly tented camp located at the foothills of Sand River and Oloolaimutia Hills at the border of Masai Mara National Reserve. The camp is located 10 km East of Ololaimutia Gate and 250 km from Nairobi. The nearest airport is Keekorok Airport which is 29 km away.

Elangata Olerai tented camp offers a combination of contemporary style and comfort set in the heart of nature in the Masai Mara National Reserve, which is home to over 4 million animals and birds, making it one of the largest and most important wildlife sanctuaries not only in Africa but worldwide.

Elangata Olerai Camp has 25 luxurious tents; 15 deluxe tents and 9 standard tents and 1 family tent, all with en-suite bathrooms and showers, flush toilets, ceramic tiled floors, and hand washbasins. Each tent is tastefully fitted with a mosquito net, clothes rack, carpet, and writing desk, and has a verandah with sun chairs.

Some tents have 2 double beds each made of African wood to suit the surroundings while others are double honeymoon beds carefully crafted in Swahili style. All tents have been placed far from each other so that guests can enjoy their stay and guarantee to complete privacy in their own verandah with sun chairs.

Guests can enjoy their meals in the dining tent, which is in the shape of a Swahili dhow. Elangata Olerai Luxury Camp offers excellent cuisine crafted to reflect the local flavors of Africa. Available also is an outdoor barbeque that serves a variety of local and international dishes.

The well-stocked bar with local and international hard and soft drinks are all served while you are comfortably sited in the lounge by the fire either chatting or sipping a drink comfortably.

The camp offers an exclusive and unique concept of community guiding based on the expertise and first-hand experience of the local community’s members to introduce you to landscapes, flora, and fauna that they intimately understand.
