Richards Forest Camp Masai Mara

Richards Forest Camp Masai Mara is located on the edge of a small forest within the private Ol Choro Conservancy in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. The camp is 180 kilometers West of Nairobi (about a 5 hour drive) and 20 minutes game drive from the Ngerende Airstrip.

There are 6 spacious tents, each tastefully fitted with twin or double beds, hand-crafted wooden dressers, hanging frame, carved coffee tables with safari chairs, woven rugs and furnished veranda.

The en-suite bathroom is fitted with a vanity basin, open foldable racks and flush toilet. There is also an open shower with only bamboo walls for privacy and the al fresco stand-alone bathtubs.

Richards Forest Camp Masai Mara dining section serves well-cooked meals. For an al fresco dining experience guests enjoy their meals in the open air under the verdant shade of the trees. Guests can also enjoy sundowner drinks around a campfire and candlelit dinners under a blanket of twinkling stars.

The camp has a lounge room with wood ceiling built on a flattened stone surface, its interior seems to be lifted out of an old English home with its rock-lined fireplace, wooden mantelpiece, carved tables and plush sofas.

Activities in the Richards Forest Camp Masai Mara include guided bush walks, day and night game drives, sundowners, bush dinners, hot air balloon safaris and cultural visits to Maasai villages.
