Africa Safari Selous Lodge Nyerere National Park Tanzania is a paradisiacal retreat located at the entrance of the Nyerere National Park(Mtemere main gate) and a walking distance of the Rufiji River. The lodge is only a 250 km drive from Dar es Salaam, the capital city of Tanzania.
Africa Safari Selous has 4 types of accommodations(Banda bungalow, Pool bungalow, Safari Luxury Glamping & Safari tent), all carefully furnished in an authentic African style. All Accommodations have an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning.
The accommodation site is spacious with much of the original plant life preserved, promoting the environmental importance that is evident in each of the carefully constructed lodgings. The most notable accommodations are the 24 ‘mud bandas’ which were built based on Boma’s, the traditional homes of the Maasai people.
They are a perfect combination of culture and luxury and a not-to-be-missed ‘experience’ during your visit to Nyerere National Park. In addition to the featured Banda Bungalows, Africa Safari Selous offers several Pool Bungalows spaciously positioned around the on-site pool.
The large size of the rooms fitted out with a variety of bedding options, and with AC, makes them perfect for families or smaller groups of friends sharing their travel adventures together. The bathrooms in the bungalows are natural, aerated, and environmentally sound lined with bamboo. They are a unique feature in themselves, luxurious necessities of modern-day travel.
And because no Safari lodging would be complete without canvas homes, otherwise referred to as ‘Luxury Glamping’. There are four canvas-based suite rooms providing the bush/campsite feel with all the luxurious necessities of modern-day travel.
The lodge has a swimming pool with a sun terrace, Lounge bar, Restaurant, Reception, and an Information Desk for all your questions, excursions, or last-minute Safari trips. Enjoy the excellent service and warm friendly service of this lodge and its local staff.
Activities available from Africa Safari Selous Lodge Include; a Boat safari on the Rufiji River, Visiting the village and meeting the locals, a Bushwalk with an authentic bushman, a Safari car, boat rental, a Pool table, a Game drive, and Authentic bush lunch. Guests who booked a game drive will enjoy a bush lunch, prepared by a Chef in the middle of the bush.

The Pool Bungalow is a 70 m² accommodation with a double bed and 4 single beds. The freshwater swimming pool is only 10 meters in front of your terrace.

The construction is in the traditional way, but inside you find all your luxury. The pool is only 150 meters away and the bungalow is a private house, located in the camp forest.
