Sanctuary at Ol Lentille Chiefs House laikipia

Sanctuary at Ol Lentille Chiefs House is an exclusive villa lodge located within Sanctuary Ol Lentille Lodge in a private conservation area, the Ol Lentille Conservancy Laikipia.  The private conservation area is over 4000 acres and is a Masai-Owned Group Ranch. Only 75 km north of Mount Kenya.

The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille is about a 6-hour drive from Nairobi or roughly 2 hours drive from Nanyuki airport. If you’re arriving by private charter flight, it takes about 15 minutes to drive from the lodge’s own airstrip to the lodge reception. The villa is about 350 km from Nairobi.

The conservation area is home to the endangered African wild dog, elephant, Grevy’s and Burchell’s zebra, greater kudu, leopard, cheetah, striped and spotted hyena, and klipspringer to name but a few.

The family home has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate 6 guests, however, extra children’s bed can be added. Each bedroom has king-size or twin beds, an en-suite bathroom, and a dressing room. The master bedroom has an outdoor bath set among natural rocks, where guests can bathe by candlelight under the stars.

The villa has a sitting room with an open fireplace and is furnished with luxurious sofas and a well-equipped kitchen. The spacious dining room adjoins the open-plan living room. There is a deck that has a small plunge pool and also offers the perfect venue for al fresco dining. 

Guests are welcome to prepare their own meals or have the chef prepare meals for them with the freshest organic ingredients. Meals can be enjoyed in the library, by the pool, alfresco in the bush, or in the dining area of the villa.

The lodge has a library where guests can read, write, relax or chat with fellow guests. There are comfortable sofas and lots of books and games coupled with stunning views of the hills. Above the library is a beautiful open-air viewing deck that has a fire pit and a bar.

Ol Lentille Chiefs House features a spa is an oasis of tranquility nestled amongst the gardens. The spa offers treatments like Swedish massage, hot stone massage, aromatherapy, Indian head massage, facials, manicures, and pedicures.

There is an outdoor pool overlooking 2 water holes and from here guests watch elephants and plains gameplay and drink. The pool offers an ideal venue to relax with lounging “pods” filled with comfortable cushions and a dining deck under shady sails. Guests can also enjoy yoga with incredible views.
