Today we depart by road for Tsavo West National Park. After check-in and lunch, an afternoon ‘Spice’ game drive in this vast Park is planned.

Nairobi Day Tour Hiking Mount Suswa Crater Caves Trip; Mount Suswa is one of the most spectacular mountains of the Rift Valley as it comprises a 12 km across double crater system, a vast network of obsidian caves and a variety of wild animals and plants.
Only 90 kilometers from Nairobi, it is described by many as the best day trip from Kenya’s capital, this little known yet massive double cratered volcano is located very close to its well known sister, Mt. Longonot.
Mount Suswa is a double crater volcano with a shield-shaped cone covering an area of about 270 km2. It is a magnificent extinct volcano in the Rift Valley. Perhaps the best known attractions on Mt Suswa are the lava caves on the outer crater. The Suswa caves are home to large populations of bats.
The bats are said to travel as far as 30 Kilometers in search of food at night and then retreat to the caves in the morning. As you walk and crawl through the caves, you can view the colonies of bats hanging from the roof, asleep and dead to the world, until evening when they stream out.
The caves are easy to access, none are too long or complex and no special gear or knowledge is required to explore these systems.
Another interesting feature in the caves is a rock painting in one of the chambers, attributed to the local Maasai morans, who apparently sleep there during one of their initiation rituals.

0700 Hours: We depart Nairobi after breakfast and drive on the lower escarpment Naivasha Road making a brief stopover at the Mai Mahiu Great Rift Valley View point.
Proceed past Mai Mahiu on the Narok road past the earth satellite station to Suswa Conservancy. The drive is about 120 km's to reach the entrance and takes 2 to 3 Hours to drive form Nairobi to the inner crater hiking starting point.
1000 Hours: You will start hiking, from the Road head at crater viewpoint with sightseeing and bird watching along the way. The road is dusty and rocky.
Suswa has a variety of micro ecosystems which play host to countless animals. In addition to the baboons, the Martienssen’s Mastiff Bat, lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, civet cats, barn owls, wild dogs and rock hyraxes regularly visit the caves.
Indeed, the leopards have a feeding corner within one of the caves. Giraffe, zebra, klipspringer and Thompson’s gazelle graze the volcano slopes. Occasionally, elephant pass along the migratory route from Amboseli to the Maasai Mara. Hyenas and the genet cat are common at night.
Birds often sighted at Mount Suswa include the Rufus Naped Lark, Augur Buzzard, Superb and Hildebrandt’s Starlings and the Variable Sunbird.

1300 Hours: We take our picnic lunch at one of the caves en route to the summit/ Mt Suswa camp, relax at the peak as we photograph and start descending as we enjoy game watching. This hike takes approximately 4 hours (10 km's round trip) to the summit and back.
1600 Hours: Depart for Nairobi.
1830 Hours: Arrive at Nairobi and transfer you to your residence.

Suswa Crater
Mt Suswa is a double crater volcano with a shield-shaped cone covering an area of about 270km2. Its inner volcano soars to an altitude of 2356m above sea level at its summit. The inner crater, about 5km across, is covered by a forest that is also home to leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, antelopes and other wildlife.
By a twist of nature, this inner collapse formed a moat-like trench surrounding a central island in the crater, creating a breath-taking view that has to be seen to be believed.
The outer crater, estimated at about 10km in diameter, is currently dotted with Maasai homesteads. The Maasai graze their livestock on the outer crater and the slopes of the inner volcano, and harvest water for their domestic use from the numerous springs spouting steam and hot water in this area.
Suswa Caves
Perhaps the best known attractions on Mt Suswa are the lava caves on the outer crater. There are over 30 entrances, most of which are collapsed roofs into these caves.
Fig trees and other types of vegetation mark the location of some of these openings, but it would be best to get a local guide to show you around the caves. A torch or headlamp is also vital when exploring these caves.

One interesting location in the caves is the Baboons’ parliament where a large troop of Baboons take shelter at night from their predators. The Baboon troops’ arrival in the evening coincides with the departure of the local bat colonies, creating two way traffic.
It is said that if you peer down the opening in the roof early in the morning, you will find the troop’s leader perched on a pile of rocks at the centre of the chamber, seemingly addressing the rest of the troop perched on ledges high up the walls of the cave.

Hiking
Most hikers on Mt Suswa park their vehicles at a road head on the edge of the inner crater, and hit the trail going up a gradual slope towards the summit on the edge of the crater. It takes about 1hr to get to the first summit, and another 1 hours to get to the higher second summit.
The 10km's return trip to the summit therefore takes about 4 hours.

Day 1: Arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport – Transfer to the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club
You will be met at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our representative and escorted to your hotel, the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club.
The drive from the airport will take about half an hour, passing first along the main Mombasa road into Nairobi, bordered on one side by the city's industrial area and on the other by the famous Nairobi National Park and Ngong Hills.

Depart from Nairobi in the early morning by a minibus and head towards Rift Valley region to the Rift Valley Lodge. Play golf for 3 days and then drive to Lake Nakuru for one night. Enjoy game drives before heading back to Nairobi.
The golf course is located within the grounds of the Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort about 12 kilometers from the Nairobi – Nakuru highway (8 kilometers from Delamere Petrol Station in Naivasha).
The lodge is just one-and-a-half hours’ drive from Nairobi. The 18-hole championship course at 7,000 feet on the Eburru Range is both challenging and exciting.
Sitting on the Mau Escarpment in the Great Rift Valley, the course commands stunning vistas of Lake Naivasha, Mount Longonot, the Kinangop Range and Aberdare Mountains.
The golf resort is famous for one the longest holes in Kenya – the par 5 – 17th ‘signature’ at 598 meters (654 yards)!
The well watered golf course has contoured greens built to USGA specs with “tiffgreen” grass. The three teeing positions and the fairways are planted to the indigenous Kikuyu grass which remains green and lush throughout the year.
All golf holes are well bunkered, and there are five water features on the course. The air is fresh, temperatures range between 16º – 34º c. Rains are generally at night and golf is played the year round 12 hours a day.
Golfers give right of way to the wild animals who have taken residence on the lush fairways and tiny islets in the ponds.
Flocks of Black-headed Oriole, Fischers Lovebirds and Egyptian geese sun themselves on the greens without batting an eyelid at the golfers.

The drive from the airport will take about half an hour, passing first along the main Mombasa road into Nairobi, bordered on one side by the city's industrial area and on the other by the famous Nairobi National Park and Ngong Hills.

Great Rift Valley Lodge Naivasha 1 Day Golfing Package; this is a full day Golfing tour to The Great Rift Valley Lodge located in Naivasha.
Depart from Nairobi in the early morning by a minibus and head towards Rift Valley region to the Rift Valley Lodge. Play a round of golf, have lunch and then head back to Nairobi.
The golf course is located within the grounds of the Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort about 12 kilometers from the Nairobi – Nakuru highway (8 kilometers from Delamere Petrol Station in Naivasha).
The lodge is just one-and-a-half hours’ drive from Nairobi. The 18-hole championship course at 7,000 feet on the Eburru Range is both challenging and exciting.
Sitting on the Mau Escarpment in the Great Rift Valley, the course commands stunning vistas of Lake Naivasha, Mount Longonot, the Kinangop Range and Aberdare Mountains.
The golf resort is famous for one the longest holes in Kenya – the par 5 – 17th ‘signature’ at 598 meters (654 yards)!
The well watered golf course has contoured greens built to USGA specs with “tiffgreen” grass. The three teeing positions and the fairways are planted to the indigenous Kikuyu grass which remains green and lush throughout the year.
All golf holes are well bunkered, and there are five water features on the course. The air is fresh, temperatures range between 16º – 34º c. Rains are generally at night and golf is played the year round 12 hours a day.
Golfers give right of way to the wild animals who have taken residence on the lush fairways and tiny islets in the ponds.
Flocks of Black-headed Oriole, Fischers Lovebirds and Egyptian geese sun themselves on the greens without batting an eyelid at the golfers.

Day 2: Stone Town Tour and Prison Island Tour
0900 Hours: After breakfast we enjoy a tour of stone town. We explore the culture and architectural important town of Zanzibar with a century history.
It includes a visit to former slave market site, now stand as Anglican church built in 1871, town market, visit the Zanzibar Memorial Museum, House of Wonder built in 1883 (Beit – Al-Ajab) and the old Arab Fort.
Other places of visit include the Place Museum and the Old Indian Dispensary (Cultural Center).
1430 Hours: We visit Prison Island or by another name Changuu Island visible from the Stone Town, it takes approximately 30 minutes to get there by a wooden boat powered by and outboard engine.
Apart from the Prison ruins you can also see the beautiful peacocks and the enormous giant tortoises some of which are over 100 years old. Sultan Said brought these tortoises here from Seychelles in the 1820's.

0830 Hours: We pick you up from your hotel or residence and travel in an air-conditioned mini-van with your local guide as we explore this historic area.

We’ll take you on a visit to spice plantations and villages for an insight into local life and the opportunity to try some Swahili dishes.
Zanzibar’s spice plantations are a tribute to the island’s past. The country was once known as the “Spice Islands”.

Day 4: Zanzibar North Coast Full Day Tour
0900 Hours: pick up from you hotel and drive to Zanzibar north coast. We will stop at the blacksmith and see the traditional way of making the tools for the construction of dhows.
At the construction site, we will see the way dhows have been built for centuries and see how skilled craftsmen bend wood to create the dhows.
Our next stop will be the Nungwi turtle sanctuary and aquarium where ailing turtles are nursed back to health and released into the ocean.
We will also go on a guided tour of Nungwi village where mamas wrapped in kangas cook over firewood while smiling children play.
Walk down to the beach where you can enjoy an optional lunch at one of Nungwi's popular restaurants and enjoy some free time sunbathing, swimming and snorkeling.
As the day ends, witness one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world and watch the sky change its color as the sun sinks over the Indian Ocean.

0830 Hours: Dolphin Watching & Jozani Forest Tour takes you to Kizimkazi Fishing Village along the southwest coast of Zanzibar.
Kizimkazi village is located about 50 Kilometers from Stone Town and 20 Kilometers to the east coast of Zanzibar. Kizimkazi, is a small village featuring a small beach where guests can relax or go diving, swimming or snorkeling.
It is also regularly visited by long-snouted, spinner and bottlenose dolphins. Known for its friendly schools of dolphin, there is a fair chance you will get to watch them up close and personal.
Swimming alongside the dolphins is best done wearing snorkeling equipment. The Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins are found in the coastal shallows throughout the year.
During the daytime they often come close to shore to rest, feed and socialize. On your way back to your hotel, your guide will stop and visit ZALA Park and Jozani Forest National Park.
The Jozani Forest Reserve is the last sanctuary in the world for the rare red colobus monkey, which is endemic to Zanzibar.
The forest is also home to Syke's monkeys, bush pigs and nocturnal Zanzibar leopards. Your tour will be led by a well-trained guide who can offer information on the other inhabitants of the forest.
Other animals include; the red-bellied coast squirrel, the endangered Aders' duiker, the Zanzibar suni, the black-and-white rufous elephant shrew and the tree hyraxes.

Day 4: Dolphin Watching & Jozani Forest Tour
0830 Hours: Dolphin Watching & Jozani Forest Tour takes you to Kizimkazi Fishing Village along the southwest coast of Zanzibar.
Kizimkazi village is located about 50 Kilometers from Stone Town and 20 Kilometers to the east coast of Zanzibar.
Kizimkazi, is a small village featuring a small beach where guests can relax or go diving, swimming or snorkeling.
It is also regularly visited by long-snouted, spinner and bottlenose dolphins. Known for its friendly schools of dolphin, there is a fair chance you will get to watch them up close and personal.
Swimming alongside the dolphins is best done wearing snorkeling equipment. The Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins are found in the coastal shallows throughout the year.
During the daytime they often come close to shore to rest, feed and socialize. On your way back to your hotel, your guide will stop and visit ZALA Park and Jozani Forest National Park.
The Jozani Forest Reserve is the last sanctuary in the world for the rare red colobus monkey, which is endemic to Zanzibar.
The forest is also home to Syke's monkeys, bush pigs and nocturnal Zanzibar leopards. Your tour will be led by a well-trained guide who can offer information on the other inhabitants of the forest.
Other animals include; the red-bellied coast squirrel, the endangered Aders' duiker, the Zanzibar suni, the black-and-white rufous elephant shrew and the tree hyraxes.

Day 2: Stone Town Tour and Prison Island Tour
0900 Hours: After breakfast we enjoy a tour of stone town. We explore the culture and architectural important town of Zanzibar with a century history.
It includes a visit to former slave market site, now stand as Anglican church built in 1871, town market, visit the Zanzibar Memorial Museum, House of Wonder built in 1883 (Beit – Al-Ajab) and the old Arab Fort.
Other places of visit include the Place Museum and the Old Indian Dispensary (Cultural Center).
1430 Hours: We visit Prison Island or by another name Changuu Island visible from the Stone Town, it takes approximately 30 minutes to get there by a wooden boat powered by and outboard engine.
Apart from the Prison ruins you can also see the beautiful peacocks and the enormous giant tortoises some of which are over 100 years old. Sultan Said brought these tortoises here from Seychelles in the 1820's.
On this little paradise one can also swim, snorkel, sunbathe or just relax and enjoy the peacefulness that this beautiful Island has to offer for tours and travels etc.

Day 3: Spice Plantation Tour
0830 Hours: We pick you up from your hotel or residence and travel in an air-conditioned mini-van with your local guide as we explore this historic area.
On our Zanzibar Spice Tour Half Day Trip you’ll learn about the properties of spices, their origins and their use as medicines as well as how they’re used in food and drinks.
We’ll take you on a visit to spice plantations and villages for an insight into local life and the opportunity to try some Swahili dishes.
Zanzibar’s spice plantations are a tribute to the island’s past. The country was once known as the “Spice Islands”.
On our tour you’ll have the chance to handle and taste different spices and tropical fruits.
Some of these Zanzibar spices are used in almost every kitchen include cinnamon, cloves, rack-black pepper, garlic, coconut, lemon grass, turmeric, ginger, vanilla and nutmeg.
You can even buy spices to take home with you to give you that elusive taste of Zanzibar once you have left its white shores far, far behind.
The tour duration takes about 2 to 3 hours and includes visiting the Kidichi Persian Baths built in 1850 by the first Sultan of Zanzibar as a gift for his Persian wife and then return back to the hotel.
