|
2 Days Serengeti National Park Luxury Flying Safari | 2 Days Serengeti Tanzania Luxury Flying Safari |
|
2 Days Serengeti National Park Luxury Flying Safari is an air safari package from Arusha Tanzania to the Serengeti National Park, famous for its huge concentrations of wildlife, especially the big cats.
Serengeti National Park cover an area of 14,763 sq km's or 5,700 sq miles and is located 335 km's (208 Miles) from Arusha, stretching north to Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve and borders Lake Victoria to the west.
The flying time to the Serengeti from Arusha is 1 Hour 30 minutes, Dar es Salaam is 2 Hours, Lake Manyara 1 Hour and Zanzibar 1Hour 40 Minutes. The Serengeti is the mother of all safari parks and the most celebrated wildlife reserve in the world.
A huge park – it is broadly divided into four distinct areas – the central Seronera Valley, the Western Corridor, the Northern Lobo and Kogatende areas, and finally the Southern Plains.
The plains have vast herds of grazers, huge prides of lion, spectacular expanses of uninterrupted views, Wildebeest River crossings, great leopard sightings, and good concentrations of cheetah and some of the best camps in Africa!
The Serengeti's main attraction is the Great Migration, consisting of up to 2 million wildebeest, 200,000 zebras and 350,000 Thompson, impala and grant's gazelles. The predator viewing here is exceptional with approximately 3-4,000 lion and huge numbers of cheetah, leopard and hyena.
Other game found in the park include topi, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, elephant, caracal, serval, aardvark, giraffe, jackal, mongoose, crocodile, aardwolf, baboons, monkeys and over 500 species of bird.
|
Serengeti National Park Highlights | What to Do and See |
Serengeti Visitor Center: The Serengeti Visitor Centre is worth a stop for its self-guided walking path that provides informative signs and exhibits about the history of the Serengeti, its ecosystem, and its wildlife.
The Serengeti's Great Migration: Throughout the year huge herds of wildebeest and zebra move in a clockwise direction around the vast plains, searching for fresh grazing grounds.
Witnessing the migration in the Serengeti is really as good as it gets in terms of your Tanzania Safari.
Serengeti daytime game drives: The main attraction here is the wildlife. Serengeti National Park houses a huge population of large mammals, including giraffes, baboons, elephants, hippos, and, of course, lions.
You'll also come across more than 500 species of birds, most notably, ostriches.
When you tire of gazing at grazers, head to Moru Kopjes to mingle with rhinos or to the Retina Hippo Pool to watch these massive mammals splash about.
Serengeti Nighttime game drives: A night game drive allows you the unique opportunity to spot a number of nocturnal animals, such as civets, bush babies, nightjars, and aardvarks, and possibly even predators on the hunt.
Night Game Drives are possible in the reserves adjacent to the Serengeti night driving is available.
Most notable areas include Singita's Grumeti Reserves (Sasakwa, Faru Faru and Grumeti Reserves Sabora), Kleins Camp and the camps in the adjacent Loliondo reserve.
Serengeti Balloon Safaris: There are no words that can do the experience of floating over the Serengeti justice." Get a birds-eye view of the park as you rise alongside the sun.
The flight lasts about an hour, after which passengers gather round a table, surrounded by the park's lush plains, for an "Out of Africa" English-style breakfast.
Oldupai Gorge: Lying only a few miles south of Serengeti National Park, the Oldupai Gorge (also called Olduvai Gorge) is a steep-sided ravine that is about 30 miles long.
The site is famous because it is here where the Leakey’s discovered human fossils and tools dating back to over 2 million years ago.
View Wildlife and Nature on Foot (or even on horseback!) An interesting way to explore the Serengeti ecosystem is to do it on your own two feet.
While perhaps not as exciting as drives, walking safaris are a great chance to get up close to the plants, trees, and smaller animals and learn a lot more about them.

|
2 Days 1 Night Ruaha National Park Flying Safari | 2 Days 1 Night Ruaha National Park Luxury flight Safari |
|
2 Days 1 Night Ruaha National Park Flying Safari is an affordable luxury flying-in safari from Dar-es-salaam or Zanzibar to Ruaha National Park located 600 kilometers to the west of Dar-es-salaam.
If you can only see one park in all of Africa, it should be Ruaha National Park in Tanzania. The combination of stunning scenery, rugged landscapes, and animal variety is unmatched.
Ruaha National Park is the largest national park in Tanzania. It covers an area of about 13,000 square kilometers and is located in the middle of Tanzania about 130 kilometers from Iringa.
The park’s location, in central western Tanzania means it is far from civilization and, apart from a few very keen overland trippers, is accessed only by light aircraft.
The relatively few camps mean that you have swathes of untouched African bush to explore.
And with its amazing birdlife (547 different species!) as well as copious big game; Ruaha is one of the most interesting and diverse parks you can visit.
The park is rich of plants and animals such as Kudu (both Greater and Lesser), elephants, hippopotamus, fish and crocodiles,
Ruaha is believed to have high concentration of elephants than any national park in East Africa. It is also a place where, magnificent mammals like Sable and Roan antelopes can easily be spotted in Miombo woodland.
The park is also a habitat for endangered wild dogs. Other animals in the park include lions, leopards, cheetah, giraffes, zebras, elands, impala, bat eared foxes and Jackals.
|
Ruaha National Park Tanzania Highlights | What to Do and See |
Bird Watching: Ruaha is one of the Tanzania birds’ paradise with more than 571species and some of them are known to be migrants from within and outside Africa. Ruaha red-billed hornbill which is dominant in the area.
Game Drives: With comfy custom-built open game drive vehicles which are perfect for traversing the beautiful and varied habitats of the park.
Game drives are the best way to get up close to the multitude of wildlife that calls Ruaha home; big-maned lions, great herds of elephant, the handsome greater kudu, Sable and Roan antelope.
Other animals include wild dogs, lions, leopards, cheetah, giraffes, zebras, elands, impala, bat eared foxes and Jackals, crocodiles, poisonous and non-poisonous snakes, monitor lizards, agama lizards and frogs.
Walking safari: Between drives, you can also get out on foot. Being on your own two pegs gives you a totally different experience.
Walking gives you an appreciation of the tranquility, complexity and vastness of the African wilderness and we think it's one of the best things you can do on safari.
Being in the company of a trained and experienced guide both ensures your safety and opens the door onto the wonders of our natural surroundings.
Bush Meals Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner: We're great fans of "going out" for breakfast and enjoying a sundowner in a beautiful spot.
These things are rare treats in the safari day and something that you wouldn't do back home, which frankly is the only reason you need for doing them!

The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and home to the highest density of big game in Africa, including all the big five and plenty of predators.

Other game in the Ngorongoro includes serval cat, cheetah, jackal, Grant's and Thompson's gazelle, bat eared foxes, flamingo and along with approximately 400 species of birds.
Activities inside the Ngorongoro Crater itself are limited to game driving only.
There are also picnic spots in the park. A full range of activities is however on offer in the wider Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including walking, trekking, excursions to Olduvai Gorge and visiting the Masai and other tribes.
The choice is whether to stay at a hotel on the Crater rim for the phenomenal view, or a little way away from the Crater in nearby Karatu.
The advantages of Karatu include the comparative lack of crowds, and better-value, smaller and more intimate lodges which offer a range of activities such as walking and mountain biking.

3 Days Mwiba Wildlife Reserve Serengeti Luxury Air Safari | Mwiba River Lodge Serengeti Luxury Holidays |
|
|
3 Days Mwiba Wildlife Reserve Serengeti luxury air safari is a short wildlife holiday to southern Serengeti Mwiba Wildlife Reserve Tanzania which borders the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Mwiba Wildlife Reserve is a 134000 acres wildlife reserve and is considered to be part of the great southern Serengeti ecosystem.
It is only 40 kM's from Ndutu where the great wilderbeest migration begins in April.
This reserve has countless animal species; of the Big 5, you can expect to see elephants, buffalo, lions, and leopards.
Other animals include waterbuck, impala, dik-dik, kudu, giraffe, hyena, wild dog, cheetah and many more wild animals.
The Serengeti wildebeest migration reaches into this area when at its southernmost point between December and April.
The area is characterized by rolling hills, kopjes, thickets, waterholes and (dry) rivers where pools form that contain water year round.
The constant supply of water acts as a magnet for wildlife in the dry season when southern Serengeti and the Ngorongoro conservation areas dry out.
Mwiba borders onto the Eyasi Escarpment, from the top of which, there are magnificent views south over lake Eyasi and the Yaida Valley, home to Tanzania's dwindling bushmen community.
To the north lies Maswa Game Reserve, an important wildlife reserve that acts as a buffer between Serengeti National park and the village lands further to the west.
Visitors to Mwiba may stay at Mwiba River Lodge or Mwiba Tented Camp.
|
Mwiba Wildlife Reserve Tanzania Highlights | What to Do and See |
Cultural interaction Datoga tribe: The Datoga are a nomadic herding tribe, known as great warriors and one of the oldest tribes in Tanzania.
Visit in the late afternoon to watch the livestock being herded back into the safety of the boma, as everyone gathers to sing and welcome them.
Game drive in the Serengeti: Explore the vast grasslands of the Serengeti with your safari guide on game drives in the early morning and late afternoon.
This is one of the most famous national parks in Africa, and it's easy to see why.
Hot air balloon ride: Soar over the Serengeti's savannah plains in a hot air balloon at dawn, watching wildlife beneath you and finishing with a champagne bush breakfast.
Meet the Sukuma medicine man: Meet with a traditional medicine man from the Sukuma tribe, Tanzania's largest ethnic group.
The equivalent of a modern-day homeopath, he uses plants and herbs to treat ailments using ancient traditions, combined with chanting and dancing.
Mwiba night drives: Take advantage of the flexibility offered by a private concession area to explore this remarkable ecosystem after dark, watch as the nocturnal species start to move and the predators get active.
Search for the migration herds: One of Africa's most iconic moments – the migration of two million wildebeest, zebras and gazelles around the Serengeti-Masai Mara ecosystem.
Walking in the Serengeti: Exploring the African bush on foot is not possible in many areas due to the high amount of regulation.
But in the private concession of Mwiba you are able to get out of the vehicle with your guide and experience the sights, sounds and smells of Africa.
Walking with the Hadza: The Hadza are a traditional hunter-gatherer tribe, one of the last of such tribes in Tanzania.
A day spent walking with them, foraging for food and hearing their stories is both fascinating and humbling.

|
|
3 Days Ruaha National Park Tanzania Luxury Flying Safari is perfect for those seeking an ever more elusive raw Africa experience in a truly wild landscape in Tanzania.
|
Ruaha National Park Tanzania Highlights | What to See and Do |
Bird Watching: Ruaha is one of the Tanzania birds’ paradise with more than 571species and some of them are known to be migrants from within and outside Africa. Ruaha red-billed hornbill which is dominant in the area.

Game drives are the best way to get up close to the multitude of wildlife that calls Ruaha home; big-maned lions, great herds of elephant, the handsome greater kudu, Sable and Roan antelope.

Being in the company of a trained and experienced guide both ensures your safety and opens the door onto the wonders of our natural surroundings.
Bush Meals Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner: We're great fans of "going out" for breakfast and enjoying a sundowner in a beautiful spot.

4 Days Mahale National Park Tanzania Luxury Flying Safari takes you to Mahale Mountains National Park located in the Western Tanzania.
Kigoma town lies to the South and borders Lake Tanganyika – the World’s longest, second deepest and least polluted freshwater lake-harboring an estimated 1000 fish species.
Mahale National Park like its northerly neighbor Gombe is home to some of the Africa’s last remaining wild chimpanzees, a population of roughly 900, they are habituated to human visitors.
Mahale really is one of the most unique safari destinations in Africa. Mahale is home to the best chimpanzee viewing in Africa and a host of activities that make this a destination in its own right.
Tracking the chimps of Mahale is a magical experience. The Forest fauna and flora include Angola colobus, red colobus, red-tailed and blue monkeys, forest birds, alpine bamboo, montage rain forest etc.
Our 4 Days Mahale National Park Tanzania Luxury Flying Safari isn't just about chimps, although we appreciate they like to take centre stage.
There's also forest walks, kayaking, swimming, fishing, and sailing down the shoreline with sundowners and fresh sashimi.
Hike the forest paths looking for birds and butterflies, as well as the other shy mammals that quietly live there.
Swim in ice-cold pools up in the mountain waterfalls, take a kayak out for a dawn paddle towards the middle of the lake; drink your morning coffee there and enjoy the sunrise coming up over the mountains.
Go for sundowners on the old wooden dhow, lazily following the shoreline and stopping to fish along the way, or just relax on the warm sands of the beach with a drink in hand.

Mahale National Park Tanzania Highlights | What to See and Do |
Water sports activities: Sports fishing, Snorkeling and many more
Hiking to the Park’s highest point “Nkungwe” (8,069ft) held sacred by the local ‘Tongwe’ tribe.
Local fishermen: Below the beaches of Lake Tanganyika are picturesque, and the local fishermen can be seen fishing as the sun sets on the Lake’s horizon.
The Chimpanzees: Tracking the chimps of Mahale is most certainly a magical and unique experience. It’s most notable as a chimpanzee sanctuary, and there are around 700 of our primate relatives split into 14 groups residing in and around the park.
There are leopards, blue duikers, red-tailed monkeys, red colobus (a favorite snack of chimps), giant pangolin and many Rift Valley bird species not found elsewhere in Tanzania.
Watch their hierarchy and social structure unfold before your eyes, noticing the uncanny resemblance to humans in many ways, including emotions shown and family structure.
