Sidai House Holiday Guest Home Ngong Hills is a charming country villa located directly on the Ngong Hills Escarpment with lovely views of the Great Rift Valley.
The house is located only on beautiful Champagne Ridge about 1.5 away drive from Nairobi and about 30 minutes drive from Kona Baridi.
Sidai House sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms (of which 3 are en-suite) and features spacious living areas with a deck, fully equipped kitchen, indoor fire place and parking space.
There are big couches and a fireplace in the dining room, and huge stain glass windows, and beautifully made big beds, and an antique soaking tub. The house is an ideal retreat for families and couples alike.
With rock climbing, hiking, picnicking, lovely walks and bird-watching in the surrounding area, this is a wonderful place to truly soak up nature. There is a cook, security guard and a caretaker.
The Ngong Hills’ proximity to Nairobi, about 22 kilometers southwest of the city, makes it a very popular weekend destination for visitors. Only 4×4 vehicles are recommended due to the road conditions both in the dry and wet season.

Day 1 & 2: Nairobi to Samburu Game Reserve
2 Nights at Elephant Bedroom Camp with game drives in the Samburu National Reserve with the chance to see a wide variety of big game including some less common species not seen elsewhere.
Day 3: Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park
1 Night in Mbweha Camp Nakuru to see the flamingos and where there is also an excellent chance of seeing rhino and leopard.
Day 4 & 5: Lake Nakuru to the Masai Mara Game Reserve
2 Nights at Tipilikwani Camp on the banks of the Talek River in the Mara with game drives in the Masai Mara, famous for lions, cheetahs and leopards.
All game drives are in a shared customized 4×4 safari vehicle with our experienced driver-guide, giving a better safari experience than traveling in a minibus or van.
Day 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi
After breakfast we transfer back to Nairobi. Drop off at the international airport for your flight home. Alternatively, fly direct from the Masai Mara to the Kenya coast to relax on the beach for a few days before flying back to Nairobi.

The flying time from Nairobi is only 35 minutes on a scheduled flight to Amboseli airstrip then a 45 minutes game drive en-route to Tawi lodge Amboseli.
Our 1 night flying-in safari from Nairobi departs daily and focuses mainly on the great views of Mount Kilimanjaro, climbing the Observation hill, meeting the Maasai people in their villages and Amboseli wildlife.
Amboseli is home to large herds of elephants (over 900 African elephants), wildebeest, giraffe, lion, monkey, zebra, hyena and antelope.

Mombasa 1 day tour visit school home orphanage is a full day excursion to one on the many children’s schools/ homes/ orphanages within easy reach from your hotel/ residence in Mombasa North Coast or South Coast.
In Kenya the term ‘orphanage’ spans a variety of institutions including children’s homes, care centres and rehabilitation centre’s.
These organizations care for children who have been orphaned, abandoned or abused and have no other place to go.
Having lived tragic lives without love and affection the main thing most of these children need is some care and attention. Your 1 day tour to one of these centres will be deeply fulfilling.
Many orphanages and children’s centre’s open their doors to other impoverished children during the daytime by providing feeding programmes or a community school in order to benefit both the children living there and the wider community.
Depending on the time you have at hand you may help in the day-to-day care of the orphans, running of the orphanage, helping with feeding and food preparation etc.
You could also join in play time, arranging extra curricular activities, sports, arts and crafts, entertainments and generally bringing fun and affection to the lives of these vulnerable and deprived kids.
You may also be asked to help teach a variety of essential subjects such as basic English, Math’s, reading, and indeed anything else in which you have experience.
You may also work with young children and babies who either have no family or are from very deprived backgrounds.
Some of the children are suffering from HIV or AIDS and have been abandoned or are too sick to go to school, others may have been subject to abuse.
Most of the children are in need of love and affection and you will be utterly astounded to see how much your care and attention can change their lives.

Mida Creek Gedi Ruins Mombasa 1 Day Tour: an excellent full day excursion from Mombasa that combines a visit to Mida Creek Reserve (recognized International Bird Area) and the Gede Ruins Museum – remains of a Swahili town which traces its origin to the 12th Century.
Our Mombasa day tour begins with a drive to Mida Creek – located to the east of Arabuko-Sokoke Forest on your way to Watamu in Malindi.
Mida Creek is approximately 6 km’s long, and is lined by mangrove forests that form the ecology for many species of birds as it forms a major stop over for the migratory birds.
Mida Creek Reserve activities include bird-watching, fishing, mangrove walks, and leisure canoe rides with friendly tour guides and canoe drivers.
The highlight of the tour includes a walk on one-of-a-kind suspended board walk that winds through the mangrove forest canopy. Guests get a chance to experience an overhead view of the scenic creek and its surroundings.
We have lunch at the 'The Crab Shack Restaurant' which looks out to stunning views of Kirepwe Island. Access to the restaurant is via a 200 meter boardwalk.
Lunch includes fresh oysters on a bed of ice and lime, Prawns, calamari, crab samosas and soft drinks.
After lunch our Mombasa day tour takes us to Gede ruins – a remains of a Swahili town. It traces its origin to the 12th Century and was rebuilt with new town walls in the Fifteenth and Sixteenth Centuries.
The museum has numerous ruins, comprising mosques; a magnificent palace and houses all nestled within 45 acres of forest. Experience the mystical cultural life in this old town amidst our natural heritage.
After a guided tour of Gedi ruins we transfer back to Mombasa.

0730 Hours: After breakfast at your hotel/ residence we pick you up and depart by road from Mombasa to Mida Creek Reserve. The drive takes about 2 hours covering about 100 km's.
1000 Hours: Once at Mida Creek you will proceed on a guided walk around a mangrove forest, learn about different species of crab that live within the mangrove and watch the different bird species that inhabit the ecosystem.
Our Mida Creek tour also includes a walk on ‘Indiana Jones’ cable bridge and a canoe ride to one of the small islands. Guests can also swim in the creek as it provides a pleasant and refreshing experience.
Mida Creek birds include Egrets, Lesser Crested and Roseate Terns. Common migrant shorebirds here include Sanderling, Curlew Sandpiper, Little Stint, Whimbrel, Grey Plover, and Greater and Lesser Sand plover.
In the landward area around the creek, a further 115 species have been recorded. These include Egrets, Lesser Crested and Roseate Terns.
1230 Hours: Lunch is served at a local restaurant which includes locally prepared dish of coconut rice, fried fish and some vegetables.
1400 Hours: After the delicious lunch, a short half hour drive takes us to Gede Ruins Museum. This is a 15th century Arab settlement with 8 mosques, a palace, houses, wells and tombs as its main features.
A guided visit in the ruins will help you discover more about the ancient town of Gede, and perhaps why it was finally abandoned to its present state.
After the Gede tour, a visit to the snake center is also as included. The snake tour gives you a look into some of the reptile species that are found in Kenya.

0830 Hours: The tour begins by cycling through the streets of Stone town allowing you to get up-close-and-personal with the locals of Zanzibar – a fantastic way to take in the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of a Zanzibar Stone Town neighborhood!

Day 1: Nairobi Fly to Samburu Game Reserve
0700 Hours: After breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi, we transfer to Wilson Airport Nairobi for your scheduled flight to the Samburu National Reserve.
0830 Hours: Depart on a scheduled flight to the Samburu National Reserve. Wild and rugged, Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Uaso Nyiro River.
0955 Hours: Arrive in Samburu National Reserve at an airstrip followed by a transfer to you to your lodge/ camp with a short safari game drive en-route.
1230 Hours: Check-in at the hotel and lunch follows. Later relax and explore the camps/ lodge grounds.
1500 Hours: Enjoy a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate before the afternoon safari drive.
1530 Hours: Depart for the afternoon game drive. Animals found in Samburu, namely: cheetahs, lions, leopards, impalas, buffalo, hippos, and dik-diks, as well as the native gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa Oryx.
You are guaranteed to see most animals during the dry season as they converge at the Usaso Nyiro River, their main source of water during the long dry weather. Elephants are also spotted during this time, and you can watch the Nile crocodiles swim in the river.
1830 Hours: Return back to your camp/ lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 : Full Day in Samburu Game Reserve
This full day in the Samburu Game Reserve will be spent searching for the big five, the Samburu five and observing the vast unspoiled scenery during morning and afternoon game viewing drives.
Samburu game reserve is renowned for its rare species of animals unique to the park, namely: the long necked gerenuk, Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe and Beisa onyx.
The elusive Kenya leopard is often known to visit the park, especially in the evenings. Other Kenyan wildlife present in the park includes cheetahs and lions, as well as elephants, buffalo and hippos.
Birdlife is as plentiful as wildlife at Samburu National Reserve, which boasts over 350 different species of birds including vultures, kingfishers, marabous, bateleurs, guinea fowl, Somali ostriches and others.
A camel-back safari is a specialty in Samburu, as well as a cultural visit to the Samburu people who depend on their cattle, goat, sheep and donkey can be arranged.

Chale Island Mombasa 1 Day Excursion is a day trip that explores the fine sandy beaches of Chale Island located 10 km's south of Diani (30 minutes drive). Diani Beach is ranked as the fifth best beach in the world.
Chale Island is a 1.5 hour drive from Mombasa and it is only bare 70 km's from the border of Tanzania. With the ideal geographical location of Chale Island a huge variety of boat excursions are offered weekly.
Chale Island has a natural attraction where one can view animals, birds and springs. There are monkeys, baboons, bush baby, wonderful exotic bird life attracted by the gorgeous tropical flora, small antelopes and colorful butterflies.
It is a perfect choice for walking safaris. For only an hour or two, one can explore the whole island to see its beautiful nature.
The beach gives home to a number of water sports for example deep-sea fishery. Guests can also take a scuba diving course since there is a PADI and SSI diving center on the island.

We depart with a glass boat and sail to Chale island. Enjoy snorkeling or quiet swimming in the lagoon.
Chale Island is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Africa for beach weddings, honeymoons, large family holidays, or for special events, exclusive business meetings and celebrations.
The island is a 1.2 km's long and 0.8 km's wide tropical paradise surrounded by stunning turquoise Indian ocean and inland mangrove forest lakes subjected to the natural changes of the tides, considered to be one of the most unique treasures.
The picturesque shoreline is included among the best beaches in Kenya. The views on inland mangrove lakes to the West and open Indian ocean to the East are breathtaking! It has a fine sandy beach with much sea weed witnessed every morning due to high tide.
We also drive by boat to Gazi beach for an amazing sand bath and local women boardwalk. Gazi Women Boardwalk is a project aimed at enhancing the productivity, stability, and functional integrity of mangrove ecosystems and fisheries production in Kenya.
You will meet friendly women from the village who are the able managers and will explain about the history of Gazi and project itself. The walk will take 30 minutes through the mangroves on wooden boardwalk. The highlight of the tour is the view point over the ocean.
Later we retun back to Diani Beach and transfer you to your hotel.

Nairobi Hiking Day Tour Olorngelai Nature Trail is a day excursion to Olorngelai Nature trail situated west of Ngong hills in Maasai Land. Olorngelai Nature trail is located 40 km’s from Nairobi city and about 15 km's from Ngong town.
It is off Ngong circular road as you head from Kibiko past Kimuka towards Kisamis. The drive from Ngong town is on a gravel dusty road and takes about an hour or so to get to the trail.
0730 Hours: Our hiking tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel/ residence in Nairobi after breakfast and a transfer via Ngong town to meet our local guide then to Olorngelai. The hiking trip on rocky trails over dry land bushes begins and ends in Olorngelai.
The rock climbing and caves tour takes about 2 to 3 hours depending on your pace. The hike is considered to be easy to moderate.
Olorngelai Nature Trail is a favorite for mountain climbers and is located on a 100 meters high fault scrap west of the Ngong Hills. If you are looking for a day hike close to Nairobi and some rush of adrenaline then this tour is one of the best gateways.
Our Nairobi Hiking Day Tour Olorngelai Nature Trail begins with a maze of huge rocks that require you to do some easy climbing while ducking under others.
As you climb you will enter a tight crack between 2 parallel rock faces, with a narrow beam of light making it way down through the small opening at the top.
As you move on you will climb past some very smooth faces along the trail that look pretty and are changeling even for experience climbers. One of the highlights of the trail is a narrow ledge with a low roof from an overhanging rock above it.
The only way to cross this is by sliding on your backside to the other end. The sheer drop to the left may be scaring however it’s a short cross before where you get to a point where you can stand up and proceed scrambling on other rocks.
The view of the expansive swamp below is very pretty and impressive once you get high up. The swamp dries up during the dry season however during the rainy season it fills up and becomes a like green carpet stretching in to the distance.
Other attractive and interesting features to see include views of Mt Suswa and Mt Longonot in a distance.
1530 to 1600 Hours: We return back to Nairobi and drop off you off at your residence/ hotel.
