3 Days Hadzabe Bushmen Datoga Tribes Cultural Safari involves visiting Hadzabe Bushmen and the Datoga Tribes which are indigenous ethnic groups in north-central Tanzania.
These African Bushmen tribe is comprised of very few inhabitants of the Lake Eyasi area; estimated at about just 1000 and do not rear cattle or do farming at any time relying fully on hunting and gathering of fruits and berries for their up keep.
The location visited is about 1.5 hours drive south west of Karatu (on the outskirts of the Ngorongoro Crater), Lake Eyasi – one of the rift valley lakes that are situated in Tanzania.

Day 1: Arrive Arusha, Tanzania
Arrive Kilimanjaro International airport, met and greet by our driver guide and assisted through customs and immigration formalities. Thereafter, drive to Arusha town.

Day 2: Arusha – Drive to Lake Eyasi
After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, depart by road to Lake Eyasi to meet up with the Bushman tribe (also known as the Wahadzabe tribe), whom you learn more about their fascinating culture.
Picnic lunch then go to visit the Dagota village and later proceed to your accommodations for the overnight.

Day 3: Full Day visit with the Hadzabe in Lake Eyasi
Start off early with your bushman guide to meet a group of resident Hadzabe people. Enjoy the Hadzabe tour walking into the bush with the only hunter-gatherers remaining in the East African region.
The Hadzabe speak a click-based language and move their encampments with the seasonal movements of the wildlife.
Your guide is a member of the group and teaches you more about how they hunt, track wildlife, make fire and even take honey from bee’s nests before introducing you to his people and explaining a little more about the customs and the way of life.
In the afternoon we visit a Maasai market where you will have the opportunity to interact with the sellers and buyers as you take photos.
Hundred of Maasai gather each Thursday afternoon at the bustling Maasai market, where visitors have the chance to see their crafts and taste their food, including the famous Maasai barbeque. The market happens on the 22nd of every month.
In the late afternoon we drive back to Arusha.

* In this area, you walk along the edge of Lake Eyasi to see the varied birdlife
* It is best to do this trip with 1 night at Lake Eyasi and then start the visit with the Bushman Tribe at 6:00am
* If school is in session, you can also visit a local school. Donations of school supplies are greatly appreciated
* You can also walk through the onion fields where 80% of the onions in Tanzania are grown. This lush garden is a sharp contrast to the dry, barren landscape that surrounds it
* This tour departs daily and also private departures are available. You can add the follow trip to your safari itinerary either before you enter or after you leave the Ngorongoro Crater as well
