Basecamp Masai Mara is situated along the banks of the Talek River, the natural border to the Maasai Mara National Reserve and is located in close proximity to Talek Village. Mara Lodges Airport is 50 kilometers away from Masai Mara Base camp.

There are 12  double riverside tents, each with a large double or twin beds with an adjoining bathroom and open air hot water shower. Each tent stands alone on a platform, with every deck facing the Talek river and having a unique view.

The thatched roof tents have appealing tent interiors, bio-flush toilets, solar-heated safari showers and private balconies, overlooking the river and have spectacular views of the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Oldonyo Sabuk Mountain is a rugged hump-backed outcrop of ancient rock jutting high above the Athi Plains and hazily visible from Nairobi.

At 2,145 meters above sea level, Ol Donyo Sabuk is a densely forested mountain known to the local Kikuyu as 'The Mountain of the Buffalo', and to the Maasai as 'The Big Mountain'.

Just one road leads to its summit, which offers magnificent 360' panoramas over the Athi River, the pineapple fields of Thika and the snow-capped peaks of both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya.

Within easy reach of Nairobi, the lush vegetation and cool air of this compact and scenic Oldonyo Sabuk National Park make for an ideal day trip or camping weekend.

The park covers an area of around 20 square kilometers. Ol Donyo Sabuk is Maasai and means "Mountain of Buffalo" – about 250 buffaloes can be found on the slopes today.

The Kikuyu tribesmen call the mountain Kea-Njahe, or the "Mountain of the Big Rain", and consider it as one of the homes of the Supreme Being Ngai.

After conquering the challenge, we will pass by the famous Fourteen Falls before our return to Nairobi.

Kandili Camp Masai Mara is located in the privately owned Leopard Gorge Conservancy within the Koyiaki area in close proximity to the Musiara Gate of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve entrance.

Acacia Bush House Masai Mara is a small, fairly simple private bush house at the foot of Kipileo Hill in the Ol chorro Losoit valley, within the Lemek hills.

The safari bush house is far from the tourist trail and within the 70,000 acre Mara North Conservancy area (one of the community conservation areas) just north of the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

This stunning private house has 2 spacious double en-suite bedrooms and a third attic room, created specifically for younger guests. The house can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests.

The living spaces dominate Acacia House beginning with a large, open-air verandah looking out over the famous Ol Chorro waterhole. This leads into an open-plan dining and seating area complete with log fire for those cooler nights in the bush.

Angama Mara Safari Lodge Masai Mara National Reserve is a luxury and classical tented lodge situated in the western part of Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve on the edge of Africa’s Rift Valley.

The camp is set in a commanding position on the rim of the Siria-Oloololo Escarpment, looking down onto the Mara Triangle.

The nearest airstrip is Kichwa Tembo, which is about a 45 minute flight from Nairobi and then a half hour drive from Angama Mara.

The lodge is unfenced and guests are not permitted to walk unattended around the camp after sunset. There are 2 totally separate camps of just 15 tents each (sleeping 30 guests in each camp).

Each luxury tent is en-suite and tastefully fitted with in room safe, minibar, overhead fan, tea/coffee making facilities, Mosquito and bug repellent, electric blanket and Africology amenities.

There are two scheduled flights a day from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Kichwa Tembo private airstrip; the flights take approximately an hour.

There are also daily flights from Mombasa; the flights take approximately two hours. The flight is followed by a 30-minute drive to the camp, with game viewing en route.
