    Day 1: Kampala – Drive to Murchison Falls National Park
    After an early breakfast at your hotel in Kampala/ Entebbe we depart and drive through the famous Luwero triangle. A stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary enables you to have a brief tour of this Rhino restoration project.

    Following the extinction of Uganda’s Rhino in the early 1980s during the period of civil unrest and heavy poaching, a sanctuary established to breed black and white rhino, and restore rhino populations in Uganda’s protected areas.

    Our journey continues and we make another stopover in Masindi for Lunch. After lunch we proceed to Murchison Falls National Park through the western arm of the Great Rift Valley and make a stop at the top of the falls.

    It is here that the river Nile explodes through a narrow gorge to create a falls and flows down to become a placid river with rainbow colors.

    After, we proceed to our accommodations for the night.

    Day 2: Explore Murchison Falls National Park on Game Drives & Boat Safari
    After breakfast we proceed to the northern part of the park in search for bird life and enjoy a safari game-run to looking out for leopard, Hartebeest, lion, giraffe, elephant and buffaloes etc.

    We return back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch we proceed for a 2 hour boat cruise on the foot of Murchison Falls.

    This boat trip along the Nile is often cited as being the highlight of a trip to Murchison since it allows you to get up-close and personal with the animals.

    Along this stretch of the river, there are reported to be around 4,000 hippos in addition to some enormous Nile crocodiles. The bird life is stunning with brightly colored kingfishers and bee-eaters darting along the riverbanks.

    If lucky, you may see the rare and prehistoric looking shoebill, which is a cross between the dodo and a dinosaur.

    Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

    Day 3: Murchison Falls – Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
    After break fast, you will depart with our packed lunch to Kibale National Park. This scenic drive takes approximately 8 hours. Drive via Masindi and Hoima past Lake Albert.

    On a clear day, the view on the top of the Albert rift is spectacular. towards the legendary 'Mountains of the moon' traversing the scenic tea plantations to Fort portal in the foothills of the mountains in time for hot shower, dinner and overnight at Rwenzori view guest house or similar.

    Day 4: Kibale Forest Chimpanzee Tracking, Bigodi Birding, Nature Walk
    After Breakfast, move into the Forest, for primate viewing but before the activity starts you will be briefed by a park ranger. The activity starts early in the morning at 0800 Hours.

    A half day search for chimps and monkeys including phoestes, Red-Colobuses, Blue, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the impenetrable forest.

    You will also see varieties of birds, butterflies and many small insects. The ranger will provide detailed explanations on not only the primates, but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is both informative and enjoyable.

    After lunch, a visit to Bigodi wetland an eco tourism site is incredible as you shall encounter rare and beautiful aquatic life.

    Day 5: Kibale Forest – Drive to Queen Elizabeth (Game drive and Boat Ride/ Cruise)
    Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park (3 hours) following the mystical Ruwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. 

    A game drive en route may be rewarded with views of lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and a variety of antelope species. 

    After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos. Many animals may be seen drinking at the water's edge.

    This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing.  The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species.

    Day 3: Murchison Falls Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
    After an early breakfast depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Te journey takes us through Masindi, Hoima, Mabale, Kagadi towns via the tea plantations in kyenjonjo.

    We have lunch in Fort portal town and continue by road to Kasese town located 80 km away. We enjoy spectacular views of the Rwenzori mountains and the Lake George of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

    When you reach Queen Elizabeth National Park, you shall check-in to your accommodation, have dinner, and get some rest for the night to prepare for the next day's adventure.

    Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park (Game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruise)
    After enjoying an early breakfast we proceed for game drive in the park which provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbucks, Uganda kob, topi, bush bucks etc.

    After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hours launch cruise on Kazinga Channel (departs at 1500 hours and returns at 1700 hours). This trip will pass through possibly the highest concentration of hippo, buffalo, elephant and birds that may be seen drinking at the water’s edge.

    This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing, the climax for this Uganda safari.

    After an early breakfast in case you so wish, proceed to Kyambura gorge for a walk to search for the chimps. The main activity here is chimpanzee tracking though the chances of seeing the chimps in this gorge are at 50-50.

    However, this is compensated with the presences of the other primates, and the gorge itself is a beautiful place to visit.

    Alternative you could have a cup of  tea, coffee or hot chocolate followed by game drive through the Kasenyi Park. At sunrise there are good chances to see lion, hyena, and leopard.

    Return to your accommodations for breakfast then check-out and begin your journey to Kampala. You will have a lunch en route on your way to Kampala/ Entebbe. Transfer to your hotel or to the Airport for your departure flight.

    Day 1: Kampala – Drive to Murchison Falls National Park
    After an early breakfast at your hotel in Kampala/ Entebbe we depart and drive through the famous Luwero triangle. A stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary enables you to have a brief tour of this Rhino restoration project.

    Following the extinction of Uganda’s Rhino in the early 1980s during the period of civil unrest and heavy poaching, a sanctuary established to breed black and white rhino, and restore rhino populations in Uganda’s protected areas.

    Our journey continues and we make another stopover in Masindi for Lunch. After lunch we proceed to Murchison Falls National Park through the western arm of the Great Rift Valley and make a stop at the top of the falls.

    It is here that the river Nile explodes through a narrow gorge to create a falls and flows down to become a placid river with rainbow colors.

    After, we proceed to our accommodations for the night.

    Day 2: Explore Murchison Falls National Park on Game Drives & Boat Safari
    After breakfast we proceed to the northern part of the park in search for bird life and enjoy a safari game-run to looking out for leopard, Hartebeest, lion, giraffe, elephant and buffaloes etc.

    We return back to the lodge for lunch. After lunch we proceed for a 2 hour boat cruise on the foot of Murchison Falls. This boat trip along the Nile is often cited as being the highlight of a trip to Murchison since it allows you to get up-close and personal with the animals.

    Along this stretch of the river, there are reported to be around 4,000 hippos in addition to some enormous Nile crocodiles. The bird life is stunning with brightly colored kingfishers and bee-eaters darting along the riverbanks.

    If lucky, you may see the rare and prehistoric looking shoebill, which is a cross between the dodo and a dinosaur.

    Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

    Day 3: Murchison Falls Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
    After breakfast, you will depart with our packed lunch to Kibale National Park. This scenic drive takes approximately 8 hours. Drive via Masindi and Hoima past Lake Albert.

    On a clear day, the view on the top of the Albert rift is spectacular. We continue towards the legendary 'Mountains of the moon' (Rwenzori Mountains) traversing the scenic tea plantations to Fort portal in the foothills of the mountains.

    Then continue toward Kibale Forest, one of the great African rainforest reserves. We arrive at our accommodations in time for hot shower, dinner and overnight.

    Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking, Bigodi Birding, Nature Walk
    After Breakfast, we drive into the Forest, for Chimpanzee tracking and other primate viewing but before the activity starts you will be briefed by a park ranger.

    The activity starts early in the morning at 0800 Hours. A half day search for chimps and monkeys including phoestes, bush babies, pottos, Red-Colobuses, Blue, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the impenetrable forest.

    You will also see varieties of birds like the yellow spotted nicator, rumped tinker bird, Little greenbul, green breasted pitta, the crowned eagle, black bee-eater and  butterflies, small insects etc.

    Mammals like Elephants can be seen on this walk. The ranger will provide detailed explanations on not only the primates, but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is both informative and enjoyable.

    After lunch, a visit to Bigodi wetland an eco tourism site is incredible as you shall encounter rare and beautiful aquatic life. birds likely to see include the great Blue turaco and other animals like the blue monkeys, baboons, otters, mongoose, bush bucks, bush pigs and among others.

    Climb Mount Meru 1 Day Hike Miriakamba Hut 2514M is a guided hiking day trip in Tanzania that begins and ends in Arusha or Moshi. Mount Meru is in Arusha National Park, situated east of the Great Rift Valley and about 40 km southwest of Kilimanjaro mountain.

    The mountain is about an hour drive from Arusha town, to Momela Gate (1514 meters/ 4967 feet), the main entrance, then drive 15 km inside the park to the starting point, for Mt. Meru climb.

    Day hikers can easily  trek up the direct route up to Miriakamba Hut. It takes 4 – 5 hours depending on your stamina and pace. The hike starts at Momella Gate of Arusha National Park at 1,500 meters and hike up to Miriakamba Hut 2,500 meters.

    At Miriakamba Hut they have a picnic lunch and some rest, then begin descending through the outer route which is an easier hike down to the Momella Gate taking approximately 3 hours.

    During our 1 day hike up Mount Meru trekkers get to see distant views of Mt. Kilimanjaro at a distance and animals such as buffalo, giraffe, warthog, dikdik, and monkeys etc.

    Birds likely to be seen include turacos, hornbills and butterflies such as the Golden winged forester, Mocker Swallow tailed among others.

      Climb Mount Meru 1 Day Hike Miriakamba Hut 2514M Itinerary

    0800 Hours: Depart Arusha town after breakfast at your hotel/ residence and drive to Mount Meru in Arusha National Park. The drive takes about 40 Minutes to get to Momella Gate.

    0900 Hours: Complete registration formalities, thereafter we begin our trek (3 to 4 hours walking) guided by a park ranger and a local guide following the track through the forest to the crater floor and then steeply to Miriakamba Hut (2514 meters).

    Along the way look out for giraffes, warthog, buffalo, antelopes and other grazers. The going is tough because of the steepness but with a glance back over your shoulder, the views are spectacular across the Momella Lakes to Mount Kilimanjaro.

    1300 Hours: Picnic lunch and a good rest at Miriakamba Hut. Afterwards, descend by the Outer route which is an easier hike down to the gate approximately 3 hours.

    1700 Hours: We should reach Momella gate by late noon (2-3 hours walking). Once you reach the Gate end of the climb transferred back to Nairobi.

    After the early morning breakfast, we set off for a 2 – 3 hours drive to Kidepo Valley National Park through Kakwanga, loitanit villages and finally enter the park.

    We relax by our lodge/ camp and have lunch. In the afternoon we embark on a safari game drive that will take you through the Narus Valley to see herds of buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras and hopefully some lions, leopard and the elusive cheetah.

    Day 1: Kampala – Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park
    0700 Hours: Our 5 day Kidepo Murchison Falls National Park wildlife Uganda safari begins after an early breakfast followed by a pickup from your hotel/ residence in Kampala.

    We take the shortest route to Kidepo from Kampala (656 km), Soroti to Kotido via Amuria to the far North-East where Uganda borders Kenya and Southern Sudan.

    En-route to your accommodations in the park you will see some wild animals and birds as well.

    Day 2: Explore Kidepo Valley National Park (Game Drive, Scenic Viewing and Community Walk)
    After an early morning breakfast, embark on a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring. Here a variety of animals and birds can be seen roving around like the fast running Ostrich.

    Return to your camp for lunch and a brief rest before venturing out again for an afternoon game drive.

    The afternoon game-run takes you through the Narus Valley to see herds of buffalo, elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, leopard and the elusive cheetah. 

    An optional cultural tour in the evening to visit the Karamajong community is also available. Here you will spend a wonderful evening with Karamojong people and have an insight of their way of life and beliefs.

    At the end of the tour you will be able to understand why their pride makes them slow to adapt to globalization.

    Day 3: Kidepo Valley – Drive to Murchison Falls National Park
    Today we begin early right after breakfast and check-out, driving to Murchison Falls National Park. We have lunch en-route.

    Upon arrival at Murchison Falls National Park, we proceed to our accommodations with a game drive en-route.  We some luck we might see some elephants, giraffes, buffaloes etc.

    Day 4: Explore Murchison Falls National Park. (Game Drive +  Launch Cruise, Hike to the Top of the Falls)
    After a hearty breakfast at your lodge/ camp depart for a game drive to the northern part of the park for a game drive.

    Animals likely to see include elephant, buffalo, Bushbucks, lion, leopard, giraffe, hartebeest and a variety of bird species.

    After lunch, ensue for a two-hour launch cruise up to the substructure of the mighty Murchison Fall whose banks provide an opportunity to see the amazing hippos, crocodiles, water birds along the river banks enabling an excellent birding safari.

    Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

    Day 5:  Murchison Falls National Park– Drive to Kampala
    After breakfast depart Murchison falls National Park and drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a brief tour.

    Following the extinction of Uganda’s Rhino in the early 1980s during the period of civil unrest and heavy poaching, a sanctuary established to breed black and white rhino, and restore rhino populations in Uganda’s protected areas.

    Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch offers you the opportunity to observe wild rhinos at a very close and safe distance.

    While at the sanctuary you will also encounter a range of other wildlife species including Uganda kobs, bush bucks, oribis, rich bucks, hippos and crocodiles.

    Later enjoy lunch and after drive back to Kampala dropping you off at your Hotel or Airport if you have a flight on the same day.

    Day 1: Kampala – Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
    From Kampala we will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. On our way we will pass the Ugandan equator where you can take pictures and shop for a souvenir.

    After lunch in Mbarara we continue to the southwest and head for the Western Rift Valley. Upon arrival in the park you might spot the first wildlife, like waterbucks and warthogs, before arriving at your accommodations.

    With a game drive en-route expect to see different animals which include the comical warthogs, lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, hyenas and a variety of antelope species.

    Day 2: Explore Queen Elizabeth National Park
    The day begins early as we go for a morning game drive and head for the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat, before returning for lunch.

    In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural link between Lake Edward and Lake George.

    Thanks to the abundant bird life that is sighted and the hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari.

    On the cruise different animals can be seen drinking water along the shores. These include hippos, elephants, buffaloes as well as water birds.

    Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Drive to Kibale Forest National Park
    After breakfast we will take you for a walk through the Maramagambo Forest, known for the Blue Lake and the Bat and Hunters Cave.

    You will get the chance to have a close look at the bats and maybe even the rock python and forest cobras that feed on the bats.

    The same walk will provide you with views of different bird species, primates and trees.

    After this activity we will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to Fort Portal, a colorful and beautiful town located in the shadow of the mythical Mountains of the Moon.

    We continue to the dense forest of Kibale National Park to our accommodations for dinner and overnight.

    Day 4: Explore Kibale Forest National Park
    Early in the morning visit to Kibale Forest National Park, reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa.

    Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys and many others.

    While on the track you will be able to encounter other different primate species which include: Red-Colobus, grey cheeked Mangabey, black-and-white Colobus monkey, the blue monkey as well as other wildlife such as butterflies, birds and many other small insects.

    The guide will provide information on tree identification in the forest as well as in explaining to you the other features of the forest.

    After tracking return to the lodge for lunch after which you will take a nature walk through the Bigodi Swamp. On the walk different birds and mammals can be seen.

    Continue to the rolling hills and terraced landscapes of Kabale District. Have lunch in Mbarara town and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park for the night.

    Day 2: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Gorilla Trekking
    After an early morning breakfast and guide briefing, set off for your gorilla tracking in the forests of Bwindi. Gorilla tracking can be strenuous because of Bwindi’s challenging terrain.

    You will need to carry packed lunch and drinking water, and wear comfortable boots or sturdy shoes, as well as carry a light rain jacket as Bwindi has unpredictable weather.

    Walking sticks will be available from the park rangers. A friendly encounter with these gentle giants will be your most exciting experience!

    For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these gentle giants.

    After an encounter of a group of gorillas some with silver backs, one can say “a sight of Gorillas has made my life time tour”.

    In the evening, you will have a cultural walk to interact with the local people. Participate in captivating traditional performances presented by Women’s groups or orphan children groups.

    Note that the fees you pay for these performances go directly to improve the welfare of families around the park.

    Day 3: Bwindi – Drive to Rwanda Parc Nationale de volcanoes (Volcanoes National Park)
    Take breakfast before making a scenic journey to Rwanda through the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape.

    Drive through the winding road and terraced landscape and reach Kisoro for lunch and then drive to Uganda/ Rwanda border and cross to Rwanda.

    You will cross the border via Kisoro then clear customs and immigration at the border – Rwanda is 1 hour behind Uganda. Continue put to travel to Volcanoes National Park (Parc National des Volcans) for an overnight.

    Travel time from Bwindi Uganda to Rwanda to Volcanoes National Park is about: 4 to 5 hours.

    Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in Parc Nationale de volcanoes (Volcanoes National Park) Rwanda
    After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing at 0800 Hours. You will need to carry packed breakfast and lunch as you will spend most of your time in the jungle.

    The time you will spend tracking the gorillas is unpredictable and it may take as few as only 2 hours on a good day yet it may even take you 8 hours before you meet these great apes.

    This period taken depends on their movement on the previous day. When you finally find the gorillas, you will have to spend an hour watching them play and eat foliage as you take photographs. It is truly a thrilling experience of a lifetime.

    In case you finish the gorilla tracking early you can choose to relax and have a drink at one of the executive hotels near the park or you can drive to Gisenyi to visit Ross Carr's orphanage and Lake Kivu.

    You could also visit a local school, community project or walk to Lake Bulera or take a cultural tour so as to have an opportunity to interact with the friendly local people.

    You will get to see a wide variety of birds as well as the tropical rain forests of Maramagambo which is a treasure to nature lovers.

    Our next exciting game park is the Bwindi Gorilla Forest for a gorilla safari. Tracking some of the last remaining 700 mountain gorillas in the world is another omissible holiday activity in a true Uganda Safari.

    This activity will be carried out in Bwindi where there are 3 habituated gorilla families.

    Lastly, we visit Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s top visited safari destination where you will see a wide diversity of game such as elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and leopards etc.

    You will also see tree-climbing lions lounging on old fig trees in the Ishasha region and enjoy a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel where schools of hippos and crocodiles can be seen.

      5 Days 4 Nights Lake Mburo Queen Elizabeth Park Safari Detailed Itinerary

    Day 1: Kampala – Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
    0700 Hours: Depart at our Hotel in Kampala at after breakfast. The journey to Lake Mburo National park will take you 4 hours, reaching the park in the afternoon.

    1300 Hours: Check-in at your accommodation in Lake Mburo National Park followed by lunch. Later in the afternoon enjoy a boat ride on Lake Mburo.

    The afternoon game drive offers an excellent way to enjoy the flora and fauna in the park. Animals seen include: topi, bushbuck, duiker, oribi, waterbuck, reedbuck, buffalo, warthog, bush-pig and hippopotamus amongst others.

    After the boat ride you will return to your accommodation followed by dinner and overnight.

    Day 2: Lake Mburo – Drive to Bwindi Forest National Park
    After breakfast, proceed for a game drive or a safari walk under the escort of an armed ranger. The leisurely pace of a walking safari also provides excellent opportunities for the keen photographer.

    The Kopjes are particularly interesting and camouflage klipspringers and topis. Due to cattle herding in the area it is amusing to see zebra grazing alongside the long horned Ankore Cattle peaceably.

    Drive through the “Switzerland of Africa” area known as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads to Bwindi.

    Day 3: Bwindi Forest Gorilla Tracking
    After an early morning breakfast and guide briefing, set off for your gorilla tracking in the forests of Bwindi. Gorilla tracking can be strenuous because of Bwindi’s challenging terrain.

    You will need to carry packed lunch and drinking water, and wear comfortable boots or sturdy shoes, as well as carry a light rain jacket as Bwindi has unpredictable weather.

    Walking sticks will be available from the park rangers. A friendly encounter with these gentle giants will be your most exciting experience!

    For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these gentle giants.

    After an encounter of a group of gorillas some with silver backs, one can say “a sight of Gorillas has made my life time tour”.

    In the evening, you will have a cultural walk to interact with the local people. Participate in captivating traditional performances presented by Women’s groups or orphan children groups.

    Note that the fees you pay for these performances go directly to improve the welfare of families around the park.

    Day 4: Bwindi Forest – Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
    Proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector. In the afternoon enjoy the unique 2 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward.

    This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge.

    This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species.

    There will also be time to stop at the equator for photographs. Arrive to Kampala in the early evening.
