Camp Carnellys Lake Naivasha Kenya is a family run camp located on Lake Naivasha in enchanting Kenya about 1.5 hour journey from Nairobi to Naivasha in the East African Rift Valley.

Naivasha town is 19 km's away from the camp. The camp is owned and managed by Crissy and Lovat Carnelley and is the nicest budget accommodation in the area.

The camp offers a wide range of different accommodation including traditional camping, cottages, bandas and dormitories all located right on Lake Naivasha.

Camp Carnelley’s Banda's sleep up to 6 in comfort with an en-Suite bathroom. The Camp provides bedding, blankets, lamps & mosquito nets. There is also a private garden equipped with outside garden furniture.

The perfect choice for a party of two is Camp Carnelley’s Cottages. The Cottages sleeps two in absolute comfort. The large Banda's are fully furnished with bedding, blankets, lamps and nets.

Pitch a tent; you can't get any closer to nature than sleeping under the stars, listening to the sounds of Africa. Or maybe opt to stay in one of the dormitories that can sleep up to eight in comfort.

Camp Carnelley’s famous Lazybones bar is a fabulous eco-bar and restaurant decorated with lots of plants, big colorful cushions and hammocks. All meals are extremely healthy in portion at very affordable prices.

There is normally buffet lunch served at weekends. If you are looking for some competitive or relaxed fun the games room is fully equipped with a darts board and pool table with a great view of the camp.

Camp Carnelley's is situated right on the lake there is no shortage of water related sports and activities, boating, cycling, fishing, rock climbing, bird watching, wake boarding and water skiing.

Visit Hells Gate National Park, The green Crater Lake reserve or maybe climb Mount Longonot. See Buffalo, Giraffe, Baboons, Eland, Klipspringer, Hartebeest, Thompson's Gazelle and sometimes Leopard and Cheetah.

Crater Lake Tented Camp Naivasha is situated off Moi South Lake Road in a private Game Sanctuary on “Ndabibi Estate”.

The camp is 38 Kilometers from Naivasha town along the Moi South Lake road off Mai Mahiu Nairobi Highway. Crater Lake Camp Naivasha has 10 Tents, 2 Bandas and 1 Honeymoon suite making the total number of room to 13.

Crater Lake offers accommodation overlooking the lake and fitted with ornate lampshades, beds draped in mosquito nets, and en-suite bathrooms. Each of the double tents has a private veranda and view of the lake.

All meals are served in the main restaurant and dining area which is a high thatch roof, with an African rustic verandah which gives a breath taking view of the Crater Lake.

There is an outdoor pool, barbecue facilities by the pool, banquet facilities that facilitates conferences, seminars, retreats, bush dinners and team building.

Activities available include night or day game drives, cycling, horse riding, boat rides, guided walk safaris and nature walks and sundowners at Leopard Rock among others.

Bilashaka Lodge Lake Naivasha Holiday House is located at one of the most beautiful spots of Lake Naivasha along Moi North Lake Road.  The lodge is located at the grounds of Bilashaka Flowers and only 2 hours drive away from Nairobi.

The lodge guest house contains 5 double rooms, each with its own theme; Malindi Room, Safari Room, Bollywood Room, Maasai Room and Moroccan Room. The lodge is ideal for groups of up to 10 people.

Each en-suite room is tastefully decorated in a unique style and has a private verandah overlooking the grasslands and acacia trees. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the dining room or at the verandah.

In the evening a fire is lit, so guests can read a book in the living room, have a drink in the small but intimate bar or sit outside on the verandah and look out for hippos and buffaloes. Groups can also stay at the lodge on self catering base.

During the day, evening and night animals such as zebras, buffaloes, hippos and giraffes come and graze at the doorstep of Bilashaka Lodge Naivasha.

This little paradise offers serenity, wild life, good food and a perfect setting to escape the hustle and bustle from city life. During the day guests can enjoy the tranquil environment, watch the birds or take a dive in the swimming pool.

Aaliyah Villa Lake Naivasha Holiday Rental House is located within the Great Rift Valley and Golf Resort in Green Park. 

Perched on the western escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, at an altitude of approximately 7000 feet, the villa affords wonderful views across Lake Naivasha and the Great Rift Valley.

Its location is approximately 90 minutes from Nairobi and as well as being the ideal weekend getaway, is a great place to stop over between game reserves while on safari.

The road to the Great Rift Valley and Golf Resort has recently been tarmacked, which has greatly improved access. Aaliyah Villa is a self contained property set in a combination of manicured gardens and wild bush.

The villa is decorated uniquely and to a high standard. Accommodation comprises of 3 en-suite bedrooms (two doubles, one twin) for a maximum of 6 guests.

There is a large open plan living, dining area, with a modern kitchen. A fully enclosed balcony with wonderful views can double as a separate seating area.

Two of the bedrooms have their own access, which opens onto a small lawn surrounded by natural bush. DSTV and Wi-Fi are available.

Guests have the option of self catering, or taking meals in the Great Rift Valley and Golf Resort, which is approximately a 5 to 10 minutes walk away. There is a small shop on site.

There are a range of activities available; Golf equipment is available to hire and golf lessons can be arranged, through the owner.

The Great Rift Valley and Golf Resort can arrange activities, such as horse riding, nature walks and day trips.

Ajabu House is set along the shores of Lake Naivasha on the Gilgil and Malewa delta on Loldia Farm (part of the Loldia Conservation area). Ajabu House is less than two hours’ drive from Nairobi – or a 30-minute flight to nearby Loldia airstrip.

Ajabu means “miracle”. Built by Wilfreded and Mairo Hopcraft, in 1935-36, and added to over the years, this North lake property, is situated on a 5500 acre private farm/ wildlife sanctuary and an incredible weekend/ escape only 1.45 minutes from Nairobi.

The holiday home has 8 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 18 guests in the main house and guest cottages.

* The Master Bedroom – a large spacious en-suite room (with an antique Bath)
* The Bird Room – triple room is en-suite and perfect for children with room Bunk beds and one queen bed

The grounds are well suited for families, with manicured lawns, and terraced gardens, and a wildlife wall surrounding the property.

To expel a bit of energy there is a clay tennis court, below the house, a trampoline to play on, boating, fishing and tubing on Lake Naivasha, birding and lovely game drives. The house has a team of 4 staff to care for your needs.

A masseuse can also be arranged in advance by appointment.

3 Days Hadzabe Bushmen Datoga Tribes Cultural Safari involves visiting Hadzabe Bushmen and the Datoga Tribes which are indigenous ethnic groups in north-central Tanzania.

These African Bushmen tribe is comprised of very few inhabitants of the Lake Eyasi area; estimated at about just 1000 and do not rear cattle or do farming at any time relying fully on hunting and gathering of fruits and berries for their up keep.

The location visited is about 1.5 hours drive south west of Karatu (on the outskirts of the Ngorongoro Crater), Lake Eyasi – one of the rift valley lakes that are situated in Tanzania.

Day 1: Arrive Arusha, Tanzania

Day 2: Arusha – Drive to Lake Eyasi

Picnic lunch then go to visit the Dagota village and later proceed to your accommodations for the overnight.

Day 3: Full Day visit with the Hadzabe in Lake Eyasi
Start off early with your bushman guide to meet a group of resident Hadzabe people. Enjoy the Hadzabe tour walking into the bush with the only hunter-gatherers remaining in the East African region.

The Hadzabe speak a click-based language and move their encampments with the seasonal movements of the wildlife.

Your guide is a member of the group and teaches you more about how they hunt, track wildlife, make fire and even take honey from bee’s nests before introducing you to his people and explaining a little more about the customs and the way of life.

In the afternoon we visit a Maasai market where you will have the opportunity to interact with the sellers and buyers as you take photos.

Hundred of Maasai gather each Thursday afternoon at the bustling Maasai market, where visitors have the chance to see their crafts and taste their food, including the famous Maasai barbeque. The market happens on the 22nd of every month.

In the late afternoon we drive back to Arusha.
