Kaskazi House Kizingoni Beach Lamu Island is located on Kizingoni Beach at the southern tip of Lamu Island just off the North Kenyan coast. .

The house is surrounded by landscaped tropical gardens on Kizingoni Beach at the southern tip of Lamu Island.

Kaskazi is furnished in colonial Arab Swahili style; with tropical hardwood furniture and attractive fabrics, fittings and fixtures sourced from Lamu, Kenya, Morocco and the Far East.

The house consists of 4 towers, around an elevated, 16 meter infinity pool. The two front towers house 4 spacious bedrooms, while the back two towers house the communal areas.

The towers are linked with shaded makuti thatch terraces, providing privacy for the swimming pool whilst still allowing a breeze to blow through and sway the hanging beds.

There are 4 double bedrooms and 1 triple room all en-suite and accommodate 12 guests.

The master suite with an outdoor shower and al fresco bathtub is accessed by a private staircase which winds upwards from the ground floor baraza area.

Two of the other double bedrooms are on the first floor of the front towers, each with a private veranda.

The ground floor double bedroom has a four poster Lamu bed, private veranda and French shutters leading onto the gardens.

The triple room is on the ground floor and has three traditional Lamu beds and a private veranda.

The house has a well equipped kitchen that serves meals prepared from the freshest local produce and sea food.

Guest enjoy their meals in the upper dining terrace, a rooftop dining space and lounge, by the poolside, dine under the stars, downstairs at the communal teak table.

There is an outdoor infinity pool with sun loungers and plenty of chill-out areas to unwind also known as barazas. There is also a basement games room with table tennis table and darts board and also a TV room.

Jahazi House Kizingoni Beach Lamu Island is set in a large garden of frangipani, fruit trees and shrubs on the Kizingoni beach, on the edge of the Indian Ocean in Lamu Island off the North Kenyan coast.

The beach is only accessible by boat and hence is free of the normal traffic of other beaches. Kizingoni Beach is 2 kilometers from Kipungani village.

The house has 4 double rooms and 1 twin room which comfortably accommodate 10 guests.

The four ground-floor guest bedrooms are all accessed from the inner courtyard and are stylishly furnished with en-suite shower rooms and their own private verandas.

The verandas feature writing desks, occasional tables, chairs and a traditional Lamu day bed. There is a covered baraza area behind the pool that can also be used for sleeping.

It also leads through an ancient carved door onto a wooden deck with two swinging beds overlooking the garden.

The rooftop terrace, partially covered with makuti to provide a shaded bar, eating and sitting area. There are each side terraces with sofas, tables and chairs.

The house features a well equipped kitchen that serves meals prepared from the freshest local produce and sea food.

Up on the roof, overlooking simply everything, is a wonderfully cool and spacious master wing, with its private salon, en suite dressing room and bathroom.

The flight from Nairobi to Lamu Manda Airport takes about 1 hour 40 minutes. From Manda jetty guests will take a private speedboat. Kizingoni Beach is a 20 minute boat ride.

The house has been designed in the Swahili style, with traditional plasterwork and wooden beams and has gorgeous carved entrance door.

Kusini has been furnished with stunning and sympathetic items sourced from Lamu, Kenya, Morocco and the Far East.

There are 3 double rooms and 1 twin bedroom which comfortably accommodate 8 guests. Each guestroom is en-suite with private verandahs.

There are 2 levels in the house. The first floor has master bedroom wing with its massive built-in Lamu bed, 2 en-suite bathrooms and 2 private balconies.

Above is the dining area with a long Moroccan style table plus the roof top terrace. The ground floor has one double room and twin room, both with private verandas.

There is a generous entrance hall which leads onto the pool veranda and baraza area. The house features a clock room and an open office area/library.

At the ocean end of the walled garden, there are 2 separate en-suite guest bedrooms with private verandas.

Above these guestrooms on one side is a roof terrace with swinging beds; the other provides the perfect breakfast spot.

Kipungani Explorer Kipungani Bay Lamu Island is situated at the end of a deserted 12 kilometers Crescent Beach on the Southerly tip of Lamu Island, off the Northern Coast of Kenya.

Lamu is approximately 300 Kilometers North of Malindi. There are 13 bandas with floors covered with woven mkeka palms and the walls made with the same organic woven palms.
