Mukutan Retreat Ol Ari Nyiro Conservancy Laikipia is situated on the edge of the breathtaking Mukutan Gorge, on the 90,000 acre Laikipia Nature Conservancy, on the extreme west of Laikipia.

The conservancy is home to conservationist and author Kuki Gallmann. The retreat is approximately 270 kilometers by road from Nairobi.

There are 3 large bedroom cottages, with private verandas, and are crafted from local stone and sustainably collected woods.

Each cottage features a huge central fireplace, warm cedar floors, large beds carved from wild olive wood and sumptuous areas to relax.

The bathrooms are open fronted with large bathtubs for a long soak with a spectacular view.

Loisaba Tented Camp Loisaba Conservancy Laikipia (formerly known as Loisaba Lodge) is located in the 56,000 acre wildlife conservancy and working ranch located in Northern Laikipia, Kenya.

The camp is about 70 kilometers from the Nanyuki on the slopes of Mount Kenya. Loisaba Tented Camp is perched on the edge of an escarpment and offers unhindered views across the Laikipia plateau all the way to Mount Kenya.

The Loisaba Tented Camp is made up of 12 tents: 6 en-suite tents- three double, 3 convertible twin/ double and 3 family combinations, each consisting of two en-suite tents with adjoining walkway.

Lewa Safari Camp Lewa Wildlife Conservancy Laikipia is situated on the Northern foothills of Mount Kenya on the 65,000 acre privately owned Lewa Wildlife Conservancy (also known as Lewa Downs).

The conservancy is home to about 10% of Kenya’s black rhino population, and the single largest population of Grevy’s zebra in the world.

The Camp is approximately 5 hours drive from Nairobi. There are 13 luxurious tents comprising of 11 safari tents and 2 family tents. Three of the safari tents can accommodate as triples.

Each tent is on raised platforms under thatched roofs and features electric lighting, large double bed and en-suite bathroom with shower and flush toilets.

Laikipia Wilderness Camp Laikipia is located in the Laikipia North area of north-central Kenya. The camp is situated on a kopje overlooking the Ewaso Njiro River Valley.

Nanyuki is about 1.5 hours drive from the tented camp. There are 5 guest tents raised on a flat stone deck and can comfortably accommodate 15 guests. 

Each tent furnished with bedside tables and lamps, storage shelves, and verandah with wicker chairs. Two sides of the tent have netted windows and guests can enter it through the front flaps that can be rolled back.

The en-suite bathrooms at the back of the tents are partly open at the top to shower underneath the African skies but accords full privacy.

Some tents are close together specifically for families. The large mess tent is the central reception area with dining room, sitting room and library.

Guests may also enjoy their meals or just relax in the open veranda on a wooden deck or around the campfire under the stars.
