ApproximatelyIn the morning, you'll be transferred to Wilson Airport to catch your flight to Tsavo West National Park. On arrival you'll be met and transferred to the lodge with an en-route game drive.

The Park is a vast expansion of African savanna with a more diverse array of habitats which include open plains, semi desert scrub, woodland, Chyulu Hills and rock outcrops.

After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive in search for game. Alternatively, you may opt to stay and enjoy other activities offered in the lodge.

Day 2: Explore Tsavo West National Park
Spend the day exploring the vast Tsavo West. The park is famous for the Red Elephants, Oryx, and Gerenuk among other mammal’s species and over 500 bird species.

Visit the Lava Flows and Caves for geological interest; explore the caves or hike along the lava flow. The cliff faces in Tsavo West offer some of the best rock climbing in Kenya.

The views over the savanna plains are spectacular, and Mt Kilimanjaro can also be seen on occasion. Visit the 300 meters high, east side of Kichwa Tembo, the Great Tsavo Chimney and the Ivory Tower on Elephant Rock. Climbing can be arranged through the Mountain Club of Kenya.

Other thrilling activities at the park include guided bush walks, bird watching, cultural visits, and hikes.

Day 2: Explore Tsavo West National Park
Today spend the day exploring Tsavo West. Tsavo West is vast and vegetation is thick which makes it more challenging to see the wildlife.

Explore the diverse habitat from open savannah grasslands, to ash cones, riverine vegetation and rock outcrops in search of wild animals, reptiles, and birds. Expect to see a lion pride, hippo pods, wildebeests and other exciting game during your morning and afternoon rendezvous.

You will also get to visit Mzima Springs whose water in filtered underground from the Chyulu Hills erupts from below a lava ridge into a series of pools so clear that hippos and fish can be seen with ease.

There's is also the Shetani Lava which the locals believed that it was the devil himself emerging from the earth.  This vast flow of lava that spurted is now an 8km mass of solidified lava, chunks of magma and curving caves.

In the evening return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Explore Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary
Spend the entire day exploring the Ol Pejeta Conservancy till sunset. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 24,000 acre private Sweetwaters Game Reserve and home to a variety of wild game, bird-life, and exotic flora.

This game sanctuary has the highest ratio of game-to-area among any other parks in Kenya. It has a waterhole that is floodlit by night thereby providing an exotic game viewing experience.

Activities that can be done include game walks, horseback and camel ride game drives.

Day 1: Nairobi – Fly to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Transfer from your Nairobi hotel or residence to Wilson Airfield for the 50 minute Safarilink or Air Kenya flight to Nanyuki airfield.

On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Sweetwaters Serena Tented Camp (30 minute drive) arriving in time for lunch. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy was once the private domain of famed multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi.

Visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and the specially protected and fenced refuge of black rhino with its stunning forty specimens!

Day 2: Explore the Ol Pejeta Conservancy
A full day at Sweetwaters with morning walk followed by bush breakfast, lunch at the camp and afternoon game drive. Our two-night stay here provides ample time to explore surrounding game reserves.

Game drives at Sweetwaters are indeed a pleasure. Game viewing may also take the form of game walks accompanied by our Resident Naturalist and game rides on horseback. Camel riding, night game drives and "bush" lunches or dinners are a delight.

The Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is incorporated within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and is the only place in Kenya where this highly endangered and remarkably intelligent species can be seen.

The name Shwari comes from Swahili meaning peace and tranquility. The house is a private boutique villa with a capacity of 14 Guests offering you the perfect seaside getaway in Wamatu.

The house is set over three floors with an infinity pool right on one of the stunning parts of Turtle Bay Beach, overlooking the Watamu Marine Park and the Indian Ocean.

Canoe Safari Lake Manyara National Park Tanzania offers guests an opportunity to see an incredible array of bird life, including thousands of pink-hued flamingos.

You can get very close to giraffes, elephants, buffalos and other animals grazing on the shoreline. All from the comfort of your canoe. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery and the beauty that surrounds you on this 2.5 hours canoe safari.

The tour is available either in the morning or afternoon and begins with a transfer from your hotel to Lake Manyara National Park. Once in the park we drive to our launching site called Endala picnic site. Here you will go aboard a stable two man canoe.

The equipment used is a stable 2 person’s fiber glass canoe. This canoe safari perfectly combines the excitement of a game drive with the relaxation of being out on the water.

Accompanied by a qualified guide, the canoe glides over the smooth lake water (20m offshore) as you look for interesting bird life such as flamingos and many other bird species.

You’ll also be able to spot a number of other animals grazing on the shoreline and quenching their thirst. You should be able to see zebra, giraffes, elephants, hippos, and even buffalo as you cruise up the water at a leisurely pace.

Lake Manyara Night Game Drive Safari is particularly spectacular, with the moon reflecting off the lake. The night game drive begins from Lake Manyara National Park gate at 1930 hours.

Alternative if staying in the park ( at Andbeyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, you start after an early dinner, leave the lodge at about 2000 and explore the park for approximately 3 hours.

Before the beginning you will be introduced to your night guides followed by a brief introduction about the 'do's and don'ts' while on a night game drive.

Your expert guide will take you through the park’s diverse habitats in search of nocturnal animals and sounds, giving you a completely different perspective of the lake and the Rift Valley Escarpment.

There is an abundance of elusive animals that are rarely seen in the day, but that are incredibly active at night. Keep your eyes open, and hopefully you will be lucky enough to spot shy genets, lithe civet cats and prickly porcupines.

Possibly easier to see will be the massive hippos happily foraging under a leafy tree on the road side. Hippos are nocturnal animals (active by night). It is a rare sight to see a hippo out of the water during the day.

Fleeting leopards often wander around the park and, even though it is not a given that you will see one, there are regular sightings of them.

The kings of the jungle, the golden lions, pride themselves on sleeping all day so fortunately, you are sure to see them as they are most mobile at night.

Later you will return back through the ground water forest and have you back at the park gate around 2230 hours or back to Andbeyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge if staying inside the park.

Kindly note that night game drives are not available in the Serengeti or Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
