2 Days 1 Night Akagera National Park Safari takes you to Akagera National Park – the perfect place for travelers who want to get off the beaten path in Rwanda.

The Akagera national park is only 2.5 hours by road from Kigali the capital meaning you can depart latest midday and do an evening game drive and also have a boat ride on Lake Ihema.

Akagera National Park islocated in eastern Rwanda, it shares the rolling, grassy hills of neighboring Tanzania (as opposed to the forested volcanoes of the northern national parks), and consequently boasts a range of large wildlife unmatched in other Rwandan parks.

Over the course of your 2 days 1 night visit, you're likely to see hippos, baboons, giraffes, antelope, zebras, warthogs, and perhaps even an elephant or two. The park has an amazing variety of wildlife and is entirely worth the visit.

After lunch, we can have a late afternoon boat trip to Nyirabiyoro historical Island for Birding and marine wildlife. We can also have a bird watching from here and we can at least have a checklist of open beak stork, cormorant, fish eagle, and pelicans among others.

Other wildlife we can see is Hippopotamus and Crocodile. Nyirabiyoro is an Island of Lake Ihema which is the biggest lake in Akagera National Park.

Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport/ depart from your hotel in Kigali and drive to Akagera National Park, Eastern Rwanda which is approximately 2 and a half hours drive. On arrival, you will enjoy a nature walk. Have lunch and in the afternoon, go for the canoe ride on Lake Ihema.

This will reward you with views of aquatic animals such as hippos, crocodiles and water birds like the papyrus Gonolek, shoebill stork and African fish eagle.

3 Days 2 Night Saadani National Park Flying Safari begins with a flight from Zanzibar, Dar-es-salaam or Arusha, Tanzania. Saadani is the 1st Tanzania coastal wildlife sanctuary located on the Indian Ocean 45 km north of Bagamoyo.

The park covers 1100 kilometers square and is the only wildlife sanctuary in Tanzania bordering the sea. Flights from Zanzibar to Saadani depart at 0900 hours arriving at 0915 hours; Dar es Salaam to Saadani departing at 0830 hours arriving at 0915 hours while Arusha to Saadani departing 1245 hours arriving 1445 hours.

During your 2 night stay at Saadani National Park, you have the options of the following activities game drives, river boat safaris, canoeing, walking safaris, bird walks, Snorkeling off the sand bank, Swahili Village tour, Maasai community tour and visits to historical sites & cultural sites.

Animals of Saadani National park include Liechtenstein Hartebeest and the rare Roosevelt sable. Good populations of Elephant, Buffalo, hippo and crocodile, also Lion, Leopard, Hyena, Giraffe, Greater kudu, Red duckier and Reedbuck, Warthog, Waterbucks, Wildebeest & Zebra and also bird life is extensive.

Bottle nose dolphins are common off the southern coast of the park; whale’s passes through Zanzibar channel in October and November and green turtle breed at madete beach.

After a safari you can head straight to the beach for a refreshing swim or walk along the coast to see what wades or see coastal birds. There are not many national parks or reserves in East African that meet the coast to give you a combination of beach and bush.

Day 1: Zanzibar – Fly to Saadani National Park
Early in the morning after your breakfast at the hotel you will get a briefing from your drive guide about safari. Depart 0945 Hours from Zanzibar directly to Saadani arrival at 1000 Hours, meet and greet then head to Wami River for a boat trip having a chance to see many wild animals along the river drinking water not forgetting giant crocodile and many birds species.

Lunch at the river or Saadani Village followed by an afternoon game drive in the park where you have having chances to see four of the Big Five, namely Masai lions, elephants, buffaloes and leopards.

Others include Masai giraffes, Lichtenstein's hartebeest, common waterbucks, blue wildebeests, bohor reedbucks, common and red duikers, Dik-Diks, yellow baboons, vervet monkeys, blue monkeys, black-and white Colobus monkeys, civets, mongooses, genet cats, porcupines, sable antelopes, warthogs, hippopotamus, crocodiles, Nile monitors and many more.

Day 2: Explore Saadani National Park
Early morning game drive in Saadani National Park and thereafter return to the lodge for breakfast. The park has a large population of hippos, crocodiles, flamingoes, and many large bird species. Giraffe and wildebeest can be spotted and elephants have been seen playing on the beach.

Lighten up for the rest of the morning and have luxurious lunch at lodge.

In the afternoon enjoy a boat safari in Wami River if you did not have one yesterday which offers probably the best boat safari in Tanzania; the river safari passes flocks of flamingoes at the mouth of the estuary before entering the river with its abundant wildlife and profusion of bird life.

Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Saadani National Park – Fly to Zanzibar
The day will be spent on a game drive in the morning and afternoon on a foot-walking safari with unique experience of tracking giraffe through prime bush before returning back to the lodge for lunch.

Afternoon at leisure as we wait our time to catch the flight back to Dar-es-salaam, Arusha or Zanzibar at 1745 Hours arrival at 1800 Hours. Upon arrival in Zanzibar Airport, transfer to your residence.

Day 2: Explore Ngorongoro Crater
This morning we descend 2,000 feet into the giant caldera of this extinct volcano. This magnificent natural amphitheatre contains the largest concentration of animals in all of Africa.

Prides of lion, black rhino and elephant share this land with the legendary Masai tribesmen. Because the grasses are short, game is easily spotted and can be approached quite closely.

Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food.

We spend a splendid morning on the floor of the crater observing wildlife in this ageless World Heritage Site.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

Day 3: Explore Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast descend down over 600 meters to the crater floor for ½ day crater tour. Ngorongoro Crater is home to over 120 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five. 

It's a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water.

There is also the Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner where a large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.

The next destination on our 4 Days/ 3 Nights Tanzania Southern Safari is Udzungwa Mountains National Park located southwest of Mikumi National Park about 65 Kilometers (40 miles).

The Park is the first terrestrial National Park in Tanzania. It is well known for its biologically diverse forest, with several animals and plant species that grow here absent in the world.

The park is beautiful and great for hiking place. It is considered as one of the top ten forests for bird conservation in Africa. Wildlife found here include Cape Buffalo and Elephants. There are also reptiles and snakes.

Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park
Our destination today after breakfast in our hotel at Dar es Salaam is Mikumi National Park. Mikumi National Park is located south of Dar es Salaam right on the main Morogoro-Iringa Highway with an approximate travel time of 4½ hours.

The word Mikumi comes after a local word for Borassus palm trees referred to as Mikuky. The wildlife viewing experience at Mikumi National Park can be experienced right upon entering the park where guests can encounter baboons, zebras and impalas speedily crossing the road.

Other animals include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, and elephants. Wild dog can be seen in packs here.

Day 2: Explore Mikumi National Park
Today we enjoy a game drive to the secluded heart of Mikumi National Park.

With 3,230 square kilometers coverage Mikumi National Park is well-known for its population of elephants, giraffes buffaloes, zebras, elands, greater Kudu, wildebeest, roan and sable antelope. Predators include tree-climbing lions (which are in large number), leopards, wild hunting dogs and black-backed jackal.

More than 400 species of birds have been recorded here including Eurasian migrants such as red billed ox pecker, marabou stork and lilac breasted roller, which stays between October and April.

There are more interesting bird species in the Miombo woodland, for example, Shelley's double collared sunbird, pale billed hornbill and violet-crested Turaco as well as violet-backed starling.

The surrounding mountain and hills brings compelling natural beauty with addition to superb light, make it a wonderful venue for wildlife photographers. It is common to see elephants, lions and sometimes giraffes on/ along the Tanzania-Zambia highway, especially in the evening or night. Nowadays leopards are commonly seen.

Day 3: Mikumi National Park – Udzungwa Mountains National Park
We awaken to the sounds of Africa and begin our day with an early morning game drive in Mikumi then return to the camp for an English breakfast. Mikumi's vegetation includes woodland, swamp and grassland with two water holes, Mkata and Chamgore.

Apart from the saddle-bill stork, hammerkop and malachite kingfisher, you will also find monitor lizard and a deadly python inhabiting the pools. After Breakfast we depart by road to Udzungwa Mountains National Park.

Udzungwa main physical features include rolling hills, dissected plateau, waterfalls and an undulating upland blanketed by a thick rain forest which colors the area with an ethereal beauty.

Variety of animal species can be found here, including water buffalo, elephants, leopards and full of reptiles such as chameleon and snakes.

Other animals include rare primates red colobus, Sanje crested mangabey monkeys, black and yellow baboon, which live in slopes of mountain all sharing the same habitation. Udzungwa National Park is now one of the top ten forests for bird conservation in Africa.

Day 4: Udzungwa Mountains National Park – Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, take a trekking that leads to the spectacular trail up to Sanje waterfalls. From here you will have a view of Kilombero Valley 180 meters. Back to the lodge for lunch. Afternoon drive back to Dar es Salaam.

Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park
Depart Arusha for Lake Manyara National Park. Arrive at the lodge by lunch time. After lunch we head into the Lake Manyara National Park for an afternoon game drive.

This impressive park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment.

The park is small, beautiful and richly diverse and its manageable size makes it possible to see virtually every highlight in a day.

The varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, we depart to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the eighth wonder of the natural world. Ngorongoro has vast, verdant caldera from the panoramic viewpoint.

Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park is home to over 120 species of mammal including the fabled Big Five.

Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard.

There is also the Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the South-western corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park
Today we drive to Tarangire National Park. With a permanent water source, the park is virtually guaranteed enormous herds and excellent game viewing including cheetah, lion (some tree-climbing!), leopard and hyena and a herd of 3,500 elephants.

The park is also host to a number of rare species including eland, oryx, kudu and gerenuk. Our accommodations are at Tarangire Sopa Lodge, a tranquil oasis overlooking the rolling plains.
