Kicheche Mara Camp 4 Days/ 3 Nights Flying Safari from Nairobi takes you the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve by Air to the Mara North Conservancy. Your accommodations will be at the Kicheche Mara Camp - a classic tented camp hidden in a grove of wild olive and croton trees in a prime wildlife area of the northern Mara plains.

Kicheche Mara Camp is fully hosted and limited to twenty two guests.The camp prides itself on offering a friendly and relaxing stay, with our hosts treating you as welcome guests, not mere travel statistics.

To maintain an intimate and relaxed atmosphere at Kicheche Mara Camp, there is a maximum of twenty two guests at any time. Each tent is comfortably furnished with an en-suite bathroom and flushing toilet, low wattage lighting is supplied 24 hours.

The majority of the tents are in secluded positions overlooking the plains and nearby hills, while others are closer together for families or friends. Triple and Quad tents (1 double & 2 single beds) are also available.

The spacious Kicheche Mara Camp Nyati tent acts as the camp lounge with comfortable seating, a library, board games, cards and local crafts.

Day 1 : Nairobi - Fly Masai Mara Kicheche Mara Camp

Take the 45 minute scheduled morning flight from Wilson Airport, Nairobi to the Masai Mara (departures at 10am and 3pm daily). Kicheche Mara Camp Safari staff will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you across the plains to the camp.

Freshen up before lunch. Afterwards, relax and absorb the surroundings before setting off on an afternoon game drive till sunset. Return to Kicheche Mara Camp for hot showers, then an aperitif before dining under the stars.

Day 2: Explore Masai Mara Game Reserve

Rise early with tea or coffee brought to your tent. At dawn set off for another drive on the plains. Return to the camp for a leisurely breakfast. Afterwards, take an escorted walk around the camp grounds learning about the flora and medicinal uses of various shrubs and trees.

Lunch and a chance to enjoy a siesta in one of the hammocks slung between the trees. Afternoon tea is followed by further game-viewing to sunset. Return to Kicheche Mara Camp for an evening around the campfire.

Day 3: Discover Masai Mara National Reserve

This morning take an escorted game walk with one of Kicheche Mara Camp expert guides. The walk, which takes approximately 2 hours, offers another perspective in viewing the terrain and fauna whilst crossing the plains and traversing bush land in the surrounding areas.

This afternoon you may wish to visit a traditional Masai Manyatta (village) or take another late afternoon game drive.

Day 4: Masai Mara - Fly to Nairobi

A final early morning game drive in the Aitong region or, if you are departing in the afternoon, a full morning game drive with a picnic breakfast is a popular option. Transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi (departures at 11 a.m. & 4 p.m.)

* Sole-Use of Vehicle is available at 320 US Dollars per vehicle per day. A single booking of 4-6 guests will be guaranteed sole use at no surcharge. Families with children under 7 will be required to take a sole use vehicle unless there are 4 or more guests in the party

* Masai Mara Game Reserve Conservancy Fees: All conservancy fees are included and from the 15th July to 21st October 2014 & 15th December to 2nd January 2015 charges cover one visit to the National Reserve section for every three night stay. Additional visits to the Reserve or outside of the Peak Season are chargeable at the prevailing rate (currently 80 US Dollars Per Person Per Day)
