Kicheche Bush Camp 4 Days/ 3 Nights Flying Safari from Nairobi takes you the famous Masai Mara Game Reserve by Air to the Olare Motorogi Conservancy. Your accommodations will be at the Kicheche Bush Camp - a small, classic, intimate, luxury tented camp completely unfenced, accommodating a maximum of twelve guests.

Kicheche Bush Camp is located in the Masai Mara within the Olare Motorogi Conservancy bordering the Reserve. The Conservancy, through it’s strict limit on bed numbers, offers an incomparable game viewing experience without crowds.

Kicheche Bush Camp is located in a prime wildlife area and game viewing starts at your doorstep. The location is also ideal to enjoy the wildebeest migration. Access is from Ol Kiombo airstrip, 40 minutes game drive away

Kicheche Bush Camp Accommodation

Kicheche Bush Camp six spacious luxury tents are fully insect-proof, with en-suite bathrooms and a flushing toilet, running cold water and hot safari showers. Solar power is provided 24 hours to your tent and the comfortable verandah chairs are perfect to relax in and offer great views over the game-filled plains.

One tent can be converted into a triple on request. There is a well furnished lounge and dining tent, although mealtimes are generally alfresco if weather permits.

Day 1 : Nairobi fly to Masai Mara Kicheche Bush Camp

Take the 45 minute scheduled morning flight from Wilson Airport, Nairobi to the Masai Mara (departures at 10am and 3pm daily). Kicheche Bush Camp Safari staff will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you across the plains to the camp.

Freshen up before lunch. Afterwards, relax and absorb the surroundings before setting off on an afternoon game drive till sunset. Return to Kicheche Bush Camp for hot showers, then an aperitif before dining under the stars.

Day 2: Explore the Masai Mara Game Reserve

Rise early with tea or coffee brought to your tent. At dawn set off for another drive on the plains. Return to the camp for a leisurely breakfast. Afterwards, take an escorted walk around the camp grounds learning about the flora and medicinal uses of various shrubs and trees.

Lunch and a chance to enjoy a siesta in one of the hammocks slung between the trees. Afternoon tea is followed by further game-viewing to sunset. Return to Kicheche Bush Camp for an evening around the campfire.

Day 3: Discover more of Masai Mara National Reserve

This morning take an escorted game walk with one of Kicheche Bush Camp expert guides. The walk, which takes approximately 2 hours, offers another perspective in viewing the terrain and fauna whilst crossing the plains and traversing bush land in the surrounding areas.

This afternoon you may wish to visit a traditional Masai Manyatta (village) or take another late afternoon game drive.

Day 4: Masai Mara fly back to Nairobi

A final early morning game drive in the Aitong region or, if you are departing in the afternoon, a full morning game drive with a picnic breakfast is a popular option. Transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi (departures at 11 a.m. & 4 p.m.)

* Children 2 - 11 years: 75% of adult rate

* Infants under 1.99 : Free of Charge (Kindly note that the camp is not conducive to infants)

* Family/ Quad Tents: Young adults sharing pay 50%. Bookings of 4+ guests will be guaranteed a sole-use vehicle
* Sole-Use of Vehicle is available at 265 US Dollars per vehicle per day. A single booking of 4-6 guests will be guaranteed sole use at no surcharge. Families with children under 7 will be required to take a sole use vehicle unless there are 4 or more guests in the party

* Masai Mara Game Reserve Conservancy Fees: All conservancy fees are included and from the 15th July to 21st October 2013 & 15th December to 2nd January 2014 charges cover one visit to the National Reserve section for every three night stay. Additional visits to the Reserve or outside of the Peak Season are chargeable at the prevailing rate (currently 80 US Dollars Per Person Per Day)
