\n\tDay 1: Nairobi – Fly to Nanyuki – Walk in the Wild, and Ride Camels<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n\t0630 Hours: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>After breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi we transfer you to Nairobi Wilson airport for your scheduled<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> flight to Nanyuki. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t0800 Hours:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong> Fly to Nanyuki <\/span><\/span>airfield<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span>Nanyuki is both the gateway to the exciting region of Laikipia and Samburu<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t0950 Hours:<\/strong> Upon arrival, you are met by our professional guides who will take you on a scenic 2 hour drive to Nyarara Camp. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tNarara means Cheetah in Masai language and the camp was given this name because of a large male that has been seen in the area. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t1230 Hours: <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>At camp we will arrive in time for lunch.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t1400 Hours:<\/strong> <\/span><\/span>On our afternoon walk we will pass through plains as well as mixed bush. Herds of Zebra, Oryx and Grant's Gazelle predominate on the large plains with smaller numbers of Jackson's Hartebeest and Thompson's Gazelle. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the mixed bush we also have a chance of seeing Dik-diks, Gerenuk, Impala and Lesser Kudu.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t1900 Hours:<\/strong> We have dinner at the camp and later settle into your comfortable mobile tent for an early night.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDay 2: <\/span><\/span>Nyarara Camp – walk to <\/span><\/span>Tumaren Larai Camp<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/strong>
\n\t0800 Hours<\/strong>: After breakfast at Nyarara camp we start our walk to Tumaren Ewaso Camp. Today we will be heading down toward the Ewaso Nyiro River, which runs along the eastern edge of the Laikipia Plateau and then turns eastward toward Samburu National Reserve. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAlong the way we will be looking for Eland, Steinbuck, Giraffe, Waterbuck and Grevy’s Zebra as well as the more elusive predators such as Wild Dog, Hyena, Lion, Leopard and Cheetah. We will also be looking from high open points for Elephants.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t1200 Hours:<\/strong> When we arrive at the Ewaso Nyiro we may want to take a quick swim before lunch. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t1400 Hours<\/strong>: We will spend the afternoon relaxing, swimming and fishing by the river before taking an evening walk to a sundowner spot with wonderful views of Mount Kenya. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the afternoon we can also visit a local and authentic Laikipia Masai Manyatta (homestead). We then continue to camp.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe packed camels (with the camps set up) will have made a more direct route than us and so they will have arrived and set up most of camp before our arrival.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
