\n\tOur adventures in the bush begin with spectacular Tsavo West National Park. Tsavo is big game country and, if we’re lucky, to a view of Kilimanjaro often unclouded in the early morning sky.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to elephant, antelope, zebra, Giraffe, buffalo and the rare black rhino Tsavo West is sought after by travelers in the know for its breathtaking scenery.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAwaiting us at our next stop is Amboseli National Park. Romantically situated in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is famous for its tremendous variety of big game.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tOur game drives are sure to reveal great wonders. This is Elephant country. From Amboseli National Park we proceed to the The Ark\/Mountain Lodge. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tNestled in the foothills between Aberdare and Mount Kenya National Park, the lodge is famous for its high perches and balconies, overlooking a salt lick and waterhole. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDay 1: Nairobi –<\/strong> Tsavo West National Park<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n\tAfter breakfast, depart by road, to the legendary land of the 'Man-Eaters' –<\/strong> Tsavo National Park. The 21,000 sq km park is one of the largest in the whole world.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDue to its enormous size, the park was divided into two parts Tsavo East and Tsavo West, for easy administration and management. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThis wilderness is home to over 1000 plant species, 400 bird species and more than 60 major mammal species such as lions, huge herds of buffalo, the solitary and ill-tempered Rhino and at least 7000 elephants. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe park is the location of Africa's most famous adventure story –<\/strong> Man eaters of Tsavo, in which two lions where responsible for eating over 500 workers who where building the Uganda railway also known as the Lunatic Line –<\/strong> by its opponents in the British Parliament in 1898. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDawn breaks in golden bands as we start our day in the bush by scanning the river from our tents veranda with a cup of steaming coffee in hand. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBefore the dew is off the grass, we're off in pursuit of the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserves grasslands and acacia woodlands.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter breakfast, we travel overland to the Sweetwaters game reserve and chimpanzee sanctuary. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThis 70,000-acre private preserve has views of the peaks of Mount Kenya and offers game drives into countryside many travelers never see. We check into our tented camp or Lodge where we stay for the next two nights.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWe have lunch in camp. Sweetwaters land, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and its sumptuous ranch were once the private domain of famed multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi.\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThis afternoon game drive takes us to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and the specially protected and fenced refuge of black rhino with its stunning forty specimens!<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tToday we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. After lunch an exciting game run is planned for the afternoon. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe game in this park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe bird life here is world renown and over 400 birds species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThis enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tLunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run. <\/span><\/span><\/span>The Mara Game Reserve-one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tLarge mammals are varied, and easy to see. Residents among the Park's are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson's and grants Gazelles.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
