\n\t\tDay 1: Nairobi – Aberdare or Mt. Kenya National Park<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n\t\tOur destination today is the Aberdare National Park or Mt. Kenya National Park. We travel overland North from Nairobi to The Aberdare Country Club, nestled on the slopes of Mweiga Hill. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tAfter lunch and high tea, set off for the Ark tree lodge, located in the forest on mountain slopes of the Aberdare Mountains at 7,000 feet. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tThis outstanding lodge offers high altitude game viewing, including animals that are rarely encountered elsewhere: giant forest hog, bush pig, tree hyrax, large spotted genet, and the elusive bongo.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tThis morning we travel by road to Kenya’s northern frontier. Wild and rugged, Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Uaso Nyiro River. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tIt is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to species only found north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe to Grevy’s zebras and Beisa Oryxes. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tDay 3: Samburu Game Reserve<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n\t\tDawn breaks in golden bands as we start our day in the bush by scanning the river from our tent’s veranda with a cup of steaming coffee in hand. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tBefore the dew is off the grass, we’re off in pursuit of the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tAnd so the day is spent in alternating pursuits of exploration in the bush and relaxation in our cozy camp.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tToday our drive takes us to Ol Pejeta Sweetwaters Conservancy. <\/span><\/span><\/span>This 90,000-acre private preserve has views of the peaks of Mount Kenya and offers game drives into countryside many travelers never see. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tWe check into our tented camp or Lodge where we stay for the next two nights.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tSweetwaters land, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and its sumptuous ranch were once the private domain of famed multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tDay 6: Mt. Kenya Safari Club – Lake Nakuru National Park<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n\t\tToday we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. After lunch an exciting game run is planned for the afternoon.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tThe game in this park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tThe Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tThe bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tIt is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the white Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tDay 7: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara Game Reserve<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>
\n\t\tThis morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tThis enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tLunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run.<\/span><\/span><\/span> The Mara Game Reserve-one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tResidents among the Park's are: Masai Giraffe, Buffalo, Eland and thousand of plain game including Impala, Zebra, Topi, both Thomson's and grants Gazelles.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tThe search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today and tomorrow during extensive game runs.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tOn the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tOur destination is Lake Naivsaha Sopa Lodge or Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge or Lake Naivasha country club. <\/span><\/span><\/span>We arrive in time for lunch at our lodge by the lake and early afternoon, we take an optional boat ride. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tAlternatively, a nature walk at Crescent Island is an excellent way to see wild animals while on foot. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tThe Island is a private game sanctuary, which is home to zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, Vervet monkeys, hares, genet cats, waterbuck and giraffe.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tOr you may wish to lounge by the pool admiring the view of zebras, Giraffes and waterbuck just outside the fence.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tThe afternoon game run is planned to introduce you to intense beauty and drama that fill each day here. Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro – can be seen from all the lodges that ‘African Spice’ uses<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tRising early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, we set off for another stimulating ‘Spice’ game drive. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tAmboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from Wildebeest to Giraffes to Baboons. Optional visit to a Masai village is planned after breakfast. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tMasai warriors are famously known as the proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tOur next destination is Tsavo West National Park. The Park is a vast expansion of African savanna with a more diverse array of habitats which include open plains, semi desert scrub, woodland, Chyulu Hills and rock outcrops. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tIt’s famous for the Red Elephants, Oryx, and Gerenuk among other mammal’s species and bird life. Movie the Ghost and the Darkness was shot here.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tOther notable features include Mzima Springs which are water source for Mombasa Town, Shetani Lava Flow and Ash cones, which is an example of recent volcanic eruption. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tTwo game drives are scheduled for this day. The extensive diverse habitats offer ideal area to search for pride of lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffe, zebras, hippos and wildebeests. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\tMzima Spring, underground water seepage from Chyulu Hills is a good place to watch the hippos. There is also a wealth and diversity of birds’ species.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t<\/p>\n
