\n\tIn the morning after breakfast, drive to the north rugged semi desert region.Wild and rugged, Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Uaso Nyiro River.  <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThis full day in the Samburu Game Reserve will be spent searching for the big five, the Samburu five and observing the vast unspoiled scenery during morning and afternoon game viewing drives.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe name Samburu is of Maasai origin, a ‘samburr’ is a traditional leather bag the Masai use for carrying honey and milk. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThis region is characterized by vast, open landscapes, dried riverbeds (depending on the season of the year) and its red volcanic soil.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe park is plentiful with crocodiles that bask on muddy riverbanks and velvet monkeys that frolic in the late afternoon sun.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tRock outcroppings contrast against the dense woodland vegetation along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River, the river that gives life to the reserve. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tEnjoy an afternoon game drive and bird watching. The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIt is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe scenic appeal of the tree studded savannah plains, the moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWe shall traverse the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing encountering the big five and more of the lesser game.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTsavo West National Park has elephants, crocodiles, Vervet monkeys, antelope, baboons, giraffes, hippos and lions etc. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/font><\/font>The park is a marvel in terms of geophysical character and plant diversity. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMzima Springs, the source of Mombasa’s water, is located here. These springs are recharged daily with hundreds of millions of liters of crystal clear water by underground streams emanating from Chyulu Hills. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAt Mzima, all sorts of animals gather for a drink particularly in the dry season. You may also be able to view hippo and crocodiles from the underwater glass tank.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
