Discover Kigali City, Kigali is a beautiful city that’s often rushed through in favor of gorillas and other out-of-town attractions. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe city is very safe, very green, very clean, and has more to offer than a visitor might expect. Our city Tour includes the Kigali Genocide Memorial, market and souvenir shopping, art galleries and some local Rwandese food. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe following day includes a 2 hour road transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park located in a small village called <\/span><\/span><\/span>Musanze<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span> previously well-known as Ruhengeri for gorilla tracking.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tYou will be required to arrive at the headquarters of ORTPN in Kinigi, at the park entrance, by 0700 hours, therefore, if you hope to trek gorillas for one day, you have to wake up very early for your journey so that you are on time.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tOn our 3rd day we visit Nyungwe National park located in south western part of Rwanda, about 5 hours drive from Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. After our breakfast, we shall head for our morning chimpanzee tracking in the forest; the tracking is expected to last between 1-2 hours.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter the chimpanzee tracking, we shall have some refreshments and get on our journey back to Kigali. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDay 2: Transfer to Musanze for Gorilla Trekking<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe One-day gorilla trekking trip in Rwanda is best done when a visitor is already in Rwanda since it requires very early pick up and late drop off. Set off at 4:30 am, for a 2 hours picturesque drive to Volcanoes national park found in Musanze province, habitat to endangered mountain gorillas. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tOn arrival, enjoy your breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters at Kinigi for the briefing by the park warden. At 8:30 am the tour guide will transfer you to the starting point of the gorilla trek. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe gorilla groups are allocated to the guests at random at the park headquarters. However, our experienced guides have over time built a strong relationship with the park wardens. They normally talk to them before time and express the clients’ interests in specific gorilla groups. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThey normally get a positive response over this. The trek may last from 1-8 hours depending on the movements of the gentle giants. On return, your driver will transfer you back to Kigali for drop off at your hotel. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tEarly morning at about 0500 Hours, your driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to the Nyungwe National Park. After check in you will go for the briefing point at the Uwinka visitors center in Nyungwe forest before you can start your trekking. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAfter receiving a briefing and depending on the number of people present for the chimp trek you will be divided into two groups. One will track starting at the Uwinka center and another starting at Cyamudongo – which will require your driver guide to transfer you to the starting point. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tYour range guide will be in communication with the trackers who live early morning to locate where the chimpanzee nested the previous night. You are allowed to stay with the chimps for only 1 hour after locating them, photography is allowed but be reminded that the flash is prohibited. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
