\n\tDay 1: <\/strong>Arrive Zanzibar Airport\/ Harbor Transfer to Stone Town Hotel – Afternoon visit Prison Island<\/strong><\/em>
\n\tUpon arrival in Zanzibar we transfer you to your hotel in Stone Town for check –in.  At 1400 Hours we take a tip to Prison Island.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tPrison Island <\/span><\/span><\/span>(<\/span>Changuu Prison Island<\/span><\/a>)<\/span><\/span><\/span> ½ Day Tour From Stone Town Zanzibar is an exciting Half Day Trip to Changuu Island (also known as Kibandiko, Prison or Quarantine Island). <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThis small island 3.5 miles (5.6 km) north-west of Stone Town, Unguja, Zanzibar is about 30 minutes by boat from Stone Town. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tNow it is more commonly known as the home of Zanzibar's Giant Aldabran Tortoise colony, some of which are over a hundred years old! <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThis endangered species came to Zanzibar as a gift from the government of the Seychelles.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tOnce on the island, you have the opportunity to feed and pet the tortoises and if you have time, you can do a spot of snorkeling. <\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t(Equipment hire not included). A relaxing walk around the island, past peacocks and mango groves, takes about half an hour.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThis tour is a great way to see some history and wildlife, and also to see Stone Town from the water as many old maritime legends would have done! We return back in Stone town by 1730 Hours.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t0830 Hours:<\/strong> After breakfast, stone town tour takes around the historical culture and architectural important town of Zanzibar with a century history.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Tour includes a visit to former slave market site, now stands as Anglican church built in 1871, Stone town market, visit the Zanzibar Memorial Museum and House of Wonder built in 1883 (Beit – Al-Ajab).<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tWe also visit the old Arab Fort, Palace Museum and Old Indian Dispensary (cultural center).<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t1400 Hours:<\/strong> We transfer to North or East coast hotel visiting the Maruhubi Palace ruins, Living Stone House and finally to the spice plantations.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n
