Aberdare Cottages & Campsite is located in a 10 acre private farm in the foothills of the Aberdare Mountains in central Kenya. Only 125 Kilometers from Kenya’s capital city Nairobi, a mere 35 minutes drive from Aberdare National park.

Aberdare Cottages & Campsite is situated in the Aberdares most exquisite settings, overlooks the roaring Mathioya River against the backdrop of the Aberdare Mountains at her highest peak. The spectacular views made of the Mathioya River, the small scale tea farms and there interlocking valleys and ridges make Aberdare cottages & campsite one of the most sort after locations.

Aberdare Cottages & Campsite overlooks the Mathioya or Karaitho Rivers with 6 wooden Chalets and 5 luxury tents. The Chalets and tents are spacious, providing utmost comfort and relaxation and tastefully furnished with twin or double beds and African rustic furniture.

All Chalets and tents have a private romantic veranda overlooking the Mathioya or Karaitho Rivers and our lush mini forest. Every Chalet and tent has a modern en suite bathroom with flush toilet and hot shower.

For the more adventurous and young at heart a camping area has been set aside. The area is set up in the woods on well light grounds with shared flush toilets and hot showers.

The weather is moderately hot most of the year. Rainy season April, May & October, July & august chilly.
