Fisherman House Lamu is located on Lamu island which is off the northeastern coast of Kenya. There are at least 3 daily flights from Nairobi (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and Wilson Airport) and from Malindi. The flight from Nairobi takes a little more than an hour and only 20 minutes from Malindi.

Fisherman House Lamu is a classic Shela house retaining the beautiful design and artefacts of Lamu life. It is as well positioned as any waterfront house in Lamu and enjoys a totally unobstructed view over to Manda Island. Shela Village is the manicured up-market alternative to the more chaotic Lamu Town.

Fisherman House Lamu cooks are trained to do all guests food errands and prepare all meals. Guests can select their meals from our guideline menu and they will be served in their private dining area. Food is charged at cost and recorded in a book of accounts.
