Bogoria Spa Resort is located in Lake Bogoria
National Reserve in the northern sector of the Great
Rift Valley. Set against the backdrop of the eastern
wall of the rift and the Tugen Hills to the rift is
surrounded by stunning scenery and offers excellent
bird-watching.
Clustered around a central building, the hotel has recently
been expanded and offers a series of cottages above
the pool and conference centre.
Though
not a spa in the technical sense of the word, the resort
is a spa in the true sense of the word in so much as
its pool and water gardens are naturally heated by the
boiling springs and geysers of the national park.

a naturally heated Spa pool. The resort is known as
'the healing place' because of the therapeutic values
associated with the spa and the hot spring geysers.
Nothing in the world beats relaxation and unwinding

region of the Kenyan Rift, 25 kilometers south of Baringo.
The reserve covers the lake and adjacent lands, with
107 km².

Nakuru National Park, famous for its numerous geysers
and springs, is 150 kilometers away while the capital
city -Nairobi is just 300 kilometers from Lake Bogoria
Spa Resort.

Lake
Bogoria Spa Resort is five minutes drive away from the
lake Bogoria National Reserve popularly known for the
hot spring geysers.
The
reserve also plays host to the greater shy kudu, an
antelope with spiraling horns as well as impalas, grant
gazelles, cheetahs and waterbucks.
While
strolling within the precincts of the resort one can
catch a glimpse of monkeys, Marabou storks and ostriches.
A variety of bird life, prehistoric sites and the pristine
natural tropical rainforests apply describe the resort.
This
is one area of Kenya where you have freedom to explore
the area on foot or bicycle. Although it's very hot
in this area, the area is good for jogging, mountain
biking, hiking, boating and wildlife spotting.
The
Lake Bogoria National Park is really beautiful and full
of wildlife so take advantage of the fact that you can
explore this area on foot.
