Overlooking the Rufiji River, Selous Riverside Safari Camp consists of ten of the largest and luxurious tented chalets in Tanzania. Its spacious tents have been carefully placed to provide privacy and blend into the nature’s surrounding, overlooking the Rufiji River and its hippos and crocodiles.

Day 1: Fly or drive to Selous Game Reserve
On arrival at the airstrip in Selous you will be welcomed by Selous Riverside Safari Camp staff with a cold tropical drink and prepare yourself for a full day game drive in an open game vehicle. See all the best Selous has got to offer. If luck is with us, wild dogs will be on the list of animal seen in the reserve. The guide will find a safe spot to serve you picnic lunch and drinks. Once you are ready, the adventure continues. Top attractions of the reserve are elephants, wild dogs, buffalos, lions and off course the leopard to name a few.

Drive back to the camp at about 3:00pm. Freshen up and head for the most amazing boat safari on the mighty Rufiji River. The main attractions of the boat safari are the hippos, crocodiles and the abundance of bird life. Come back to the camp enjoy the tea and coffee on the deck or drinks of your choice with complimentary biting by the chef and see the sunset along the Rufiji River. Dinner time exchange comment and stories of the morning game drive.

Day 2: Explore Selous Game Reserve
Early morning tea or coffee with small snacks and get ready for the most exciting 2-3 walk. The walking safari starts at 6:00am and it is done outside the reserve. We drive you to the boundary of the reserve. The guide will brief you on all the safety of the walking safari and the dos and dont's. Get up close with nature, study the amazing vegetation and tracks of the animals.

Return back to the camp. Walking for 2-3 hours will surly make an appetite for a big breakfast. Another game drive with picnic lunch. This time we try and show you the game that you might have missed on the previous day. At about 5:00pm head back to the camp. At the camp enjoy the pool and relax. Free afternoon tea and coffee.

This time have diner on the deck under the African stars. The Masai would have lit the camp fire. Enjoy rest of your evening.

Day 3: Fly or drive to Dar-es-Salaam
After breakfast it’s time to say good bye, we shall transfer you to the airstrip and wait until you board the aircraft. And hope to see you again in the near future.
