Shwari
Beach House Holiday Home
is a great place to relax, unwind and scrunch the sand
in your toes. Great for kids, the beach is directly
in front of the house with crystal clear water and a
conservation area ideal for snorkeling.
The
Kuruwitu Conservation & Welfare Association (KCWA)
area is the first of its kind with it being community
run. There is a glass bottom boat available for hire
along with a dory, a catamaran and various dhows which
sail from Kilifi.
This
is a true holiday home – open, airy and relaxed.
The main living/ dining area is spacious and is simply
but tastefully furnished. The roof of the house serves
as an additional and very large recreational area with
a makuti roof and furniture.

beds come with nets and ceiling fans. The bedrooms are
provided with spacious en-suite bathrooms. The family
room has an arch dividing it in half, double bed on
one side, 2 singles on the other, all swathed in four-poster
mosquito nets.
Another
two bedrooms have double beds, built in and/ or open
plan wardrobes, bedside tables, lamps and fans, there
is also a twin room wtih ensuite bathroom.
Each
of the bedrooms is provided with a spacious en-suite
bathrooms. The open-plan showers are large and hot water
is provided by electric heating. There is plenty of
space for storage of toiletries, towels and other personal
goods. All bedding, towels, mosquito nets provided,
lanterns etc.
Laundry
service is provided at no extra charge, including all
bed linen, towels and personal clothing. Family-friendly,
attentive staff and only a few other private houses
have access to the beach; tourists are rare and apart
from the odd fisherman you have the place to yourself….
very cool. Easy access to Nyali and Mombasa and a short
drive north to Kilifi.
Garden,
terrace with traditional ‘pili pili’ day
beds, balcony, barbeque, garden furniture. Direct access
to the beach, and a stunning infinity pool overlooking
the ocean! Vipingo Ridge golf course and resort is a
5 minute drive away. Snorkeling in the community marine
reserve area is a must!
