Day 2 & Day 3
Arusha
— Ngorongoro Crater. Overnight at the Gibbs
Farm or Tloma Lodge
After your delicious breakfast at
Rivertrees you will board your flight to the Lake
Manyara airstrip and will be met by your Spice Driver
Guide. Midway between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro
Crater, five kilometers from the village of Karatu,
is Gibb’s Farm. Gibb’s Farm is an oasis
of green, calm and beauty, in a landscape that can
often be parched, dry and dusty. The lodge offers
20 twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms set among
the gardens. The main facilities, consisting of
a sitting room, reading room, dining room (which
serves fresh, home-cooked meals), bar and gift shop,
are situated in the old farmhouse.
Coffee is grown, processed and roasted
on the farm, and a vast ten-acre fruit and organic
vegetable garden provides nearly all the fruit and
vegetables to the guests, who wake up to fresh coffee,
a multitude of flowers and breathtaking views. Even
if your stay is short, find time for a gentle walk
or tour of our gardens. You may enjoy a nice swim
or a refreshing sun downer and a short evening stroll
with your guide. On your first full day, you will
begin with a very early start - rising earlier than
everyone else as you escape camp in semi-darkness
and start winding your way down towards the crater
floor with your guide. As the first few vehicles
arrive on the Crater floor, your African Spice Safari
guide will find a lovely, secluded and shaded area
to unpack a gourmet picnic brunch.

Day 4,
5 & Day 6
Ngorongoro
Crater — Serengeti National
Park. Overnight at Nomad Serengeti Camp
This day after breakfast, you will
say your good-byes, and take a scheduled flight
to the Serengeti. The Serengeti holds the greatest
and most diverse concentration of wildlife remaining
in Africa today. This place is guaranteed to take
your breath away! Serengeti Safari Camp is semi
nomadic - it won't move whilst you're there - but
it's actually on a wide orbit, shadowing the Migration,
so you, your own private African Spice Driver guide
and his 4WD vehicle are as close to a million wildebeest
as possible. It's the base for exciting game drives
- conquering the landscapes and absorbing the sheer
hugeness of it all. Daily adventures are yours to
plan with your own guide to take you into the midst.
Whilst you can head off from dawn to dusk on your
own wandering migration expeditions, the small camp
is sociable because it's shared - with just 12 guests
staying in classic East African tented bush style.

Day 7 &
Day 8
Serengeti
National Park — Loliondo Game Reserve. Overnight at Nduara Loliondo
Camp
Today
you will pack a picnic lunch and head off into the
bush. As you are transferred from the Serengeti
Camp to Nduara Loliondo Camp enjoy the vast plains
full of wildlife! Nduara Loliondo consists of six
large yurts, with a dining yurt, and separate lounge/library
yurt. Each accommodation yurt has its own en-suite
bathroom - attached to the back of the main sleeping
area. The yurts have been designed to be as cool
as possible during the day, and have wrap-around
shade net windows with flaps that can be rolled
up or down. There is also a traditional open ‘wheel’
in the centre of the roof (in Mongolian gers this
is where the chimney of the fireplace would be located).
This helps to keep the yurt feeling open and airy.
There is a canvas ’cap’ that covers
the wheel at night, or in bad weather. The dining
tent is where delicious and abundant food and drinks
are served by a team of experienced waiters. The
cuisine is of the highest standard with innovative
menus using fresh fruit and vegetables. Guests can
enjoy candlelit dinners under the stars, a variety
of bush breakfasts, picnics and sundowners.

Overnight at Fundu Lagoon
After

your flight to Pemba Island in the Indian Ocean.
Fundu Lagoon is privately owned and run with a love
for the natural environment that surrounds it; the
epitome of shabby chic - stylish, cosseting and
totally relaxed. Wooden walkways and sandy paths
lead to eighteen Makuti thatched tented rooms and
suites - all of the accommodations have breath-taking
views of the Indian Ocean. For the ultimate in lazy
relaxation, visit the spa for massage and beauty
treatments. The marine life is amazing and activities
include water skiing, windsurfing and fishing. Or
explore the mangroves by canoe; take a romantic
sunset cruise to take in the surrounding beaches
and islands.
