Description
Our 10 Days / 9 Nights
Tanzania Luxury Safari is a northern circuit safari
and a Zanzibar Island Beach stay. In the Serengeti
portion you will be staying in a mobile tented camp.
These camps move through the southern, central and
northern Serengeti every couple of months, in areas
of great wildlife concentration and to follow the
famous wildebeest migration. These are small, intimate
camps in carefully positioned locations. It is the
perfect Hemingway experience, luxury under canvas.
Following the safari it is time to relax on the gorgeous
beaches of Zanzibar.

Day
1
Lake Manyara National Park
On
arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will
be met by an African Spice Safaris Driver guide who
will escort you to your 4x4 vehicle to begin your
safari. From Kilimanjaro you will take the scenic
drive south to Lake Manyara National Park arriving
in time for lunch at the Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.
You will then spend the afternoon game viewing in
the park before being returned to the lodge for dinner
and overnight.

2
Ngorongoro
Crater
After an early breakfast you will head towards the
Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the
Ngorongoro Crater for a day of fantastic game viewing.
Your permit is for six hours in the crater game viewing
after which you will head back to the Ngorongoro Sopa
Lodge. Afternoon at your leisure.

3, 4 & 5
Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will head toward the Serengeti
National Park via the Malanja Depression, stopping
on route to visit the famous Olduvai Gorge (world-famous
hominid fossil site) were you will have your picnic
lunch. For the next three nights you will be staying
at the Asilia Olakira or Sayari Luxury Mobile Tented
Camp. These camps are semi permanent and move with
the animals as the migration passes up the Serengeti.
Spend your next two days exploring the famous Serengeti
Plains and the abundance of wildlife it harbors. Take
a picnic lunch and spend the whole day in search of
the big five and the other game that make this region
famous or go back to your lodge for hot lunch and
then out again in the cool of the afternoon.

6 to Day 10
Zanzibar Island
After
an early breakfast you will head to the airstrip for
your flight to Zanzibar (via Arusha). On arrival in
Zanzibar you will be met at the airport by an African
Spice Safaris representative and transferred to Matemwe
Retreat. Spend the next 5 days relaxing and taking
in the sights and sounds of Zanzibar, the Spice Island.
Relax on the beach or take part in one of the many
activities offered by Matemwe Bungalows. Whether you
want an active holiday or just to relax, Zanzibar
has something for everybody.

After breakfast (depending on your
flight times) you will be met by our Spice Driver
Guide who will transfer you to the airport for your
return flight home.
